The hotel has a spa, located on the second floor of the hotel next to the indoor pool, which beauty and health treatments can be booked. It is worth asking reception about these on arrival.

Ask for a room with a balcony that has table & chairs. Rooms at the front will incur some traffic noise as overlook a busy road.

We had apartment on ground floor next to the small pool. It was very quiet. There is a small garden to sit in as well.

The beachfront in La Carihuela is nice and has lots of varied restaurants. You can take a nice 5 minute walk around the bay into 'El Bajondillo' which is the main part of Torremolinos or further down to 'Playamar'. A 15 minute walk in the opposite direction along the beach will take you to Benalmadena which has a great port & lots of things to do aswell (24 Hour Square at night for the party animals.) You MUST go on the 'Teleférico' which are Cable Cars that take you up the mountains where you can see a Falconry Exhibition which is good fun aswell and included in the price (€11 return).
Tivoli World is more suited to families and won't satisfy the thrill-seekers.
Aqualand is good value if you stay all day - lots of rides and no salt-water in sight!

The beach front was spotless clean and toilets were dotted around (But not for Disabled) We did not use many of the resort bars or restaurants due to the fact that although most of them were accessible, we did not find any with disabled facilities. It is not much fun sitting enjoying a few drinks and listening to the entertainment when one member of your party has either to not drink all evening or do the half mile dash back to the hotel simply to get to a toilet.
We are not lovers of the sand so did not use the beach facilities, but we would say that they looked good.
To get up into the Town Centre is a bit of a hike, but the Taxi's are very reasonable.
We would all go back to Torremolinos again as we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday.
If they could see there way to installing a few more toilets for the disabled I am quite sure they would benefit in the long run.

Was quite surprised at how quiet it was here, I booked thinking that it was going to have a busy nightlife only to find that it was really quite with limited bars and entertainment.
Although there was plently of very nice places to eat and some good shops.

The resort itself was clean and there was some entertainemnt on the beach front such as boats and water sports.

We found the resort very clean, the walkways were clean and tidy. The only thing that we would say is the gypsies selling carnations - please beware!!!!. The marina was really nice and clean and the shops were great.

The resort itself was ok. We went on trips to Tangiers and Gibraltar which I highly recommend.
We were too far from the resort centre and didn't want to spend all our money on taxi fare. Luckily we found DREAMS bar just around the corner which is FAB! it's a karaoke bar run by Jan & Dave, a British couple. The drinks prices were good & the atmosphere was fantastic. You don't have to sing if you don't want to, but it's great fun!
We didn't spend much time on the beach as we went on a lot of trips. What I did see of the beach was good. We also caught the train to Fuengirola to visit the zoo, I couldn't believe how cheap the train fares were.
I don't recommend clubbing in Benalmadena. We went one night as it was recommended and we got surrounded in 24 hour square by the PR's all trying to drag us into their club and arguing with each other who's club was the best. The drinks were allegedly 2 for 1 but were expensive so I think it was not true. We eventually went into Club Zero with a PR & walked out as the barman tried to rip us off. He reluctantly agreed to serve us a non alcoholic dirnk - coke and water, supposedly 2 for 1 and tried to charge us 10 euros for it - Thats almost £5 for each drink!
I would go to Costa Del Sol again but would go to Fuengirola instead.

Obviously trying hard to improve resort and it is starting to show. Beach is machine cleaned every day and promenade is pleasant walking area.
Yes we will go back.

What we did see of the resort left us feeling that it was well managed, generally very clean and tidy and with plenty to do for the family. However being AI at our hotel meant that time spent in the resort itself was limited. If we were to visit again would probably go self catering so that we could see more of it.

The weather was with us all but the first few hours. Not too hot with a slight breeze on occasion.
The hotel was superb. We were overlooking the pool, facing out to sea and couldn't have been more pleased. Large room with twin beds and en suite. Surprisingly there was also a sofa & TV. My girls were in the room next door. The pool is set in grass and large but very cold. There was some reserving of beds but no real need as at no point were they all used. There were free mattresses to help yourself to.
I feel this hotel is not well known to Scots/Brits but if had several senior citizens, mainly from Canada. The Italian school trips were also a joy to watch arriving and screaming with glee at the view from their balconies.

The resort was great, we had the best of both worlds as out hotel was right on the border of Torremolinos and Benalmadena. We only had a two minute walk and were at the marina.
The beach was fine and due to low season, plenty of room to spread out and my son found enough space to dig several big holes for other holiday makers to fall into!
One thing about the beach though was the dogs and the mess they left behind. Spanish/French holiday makers don't seem to worry about clearing up after their animals and although there are signs along the beach telling you that dogs aren't allowed in certain areas they are largely ignored. Shame really.
The activities for this time of year were just starting. Plenty of bars and restaurants open.
My son especially enjoyed the trampolines (with harnesses), cable car ride into the mountains, sealife centre, crocodile park and Tiovoli World theme park (well worth buying a wrist band and have as many rides as you want, instead of pay as you go - beware of height restrictions thoough). The botanical park was really pretty and minigolf went down a treat several times! (7 euros for a game of golf, sandwich and drink).
We were only at the resort for a week on a last minute decision and it was one of the best decisions to have made. We all had a fantastic time, but could imagine the resort to be a completely different place in the high season - going at Easter (and it was early this year) is a better time to go if you don't like busy busy busy and more relaxing evening strolls/beers etc.
The weather - although never guaranteed was very wet the day we got there, then by the afternoon was fantastic and just the right temperature to sunbathe or be able to walk around and explore/stop of at various ice cream parlours/cafes etc.
