Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Cant fault Salou at all but Cap Salou not alot there plus lot of walking to reaches beaches.

Plenty of bars along one main street and lots of market stalls and shops open late.
I would recommend going to barcelona a bout an hour way by car.

The locals take great pride in keeping the pavements very clean.
There is a fantastic Theme park which would suit people with or without children of all age groups.
The entertainment shows are of a very high quality and just breathtaking!
The beach in Salou is very nice and clean. There are plenty of sun beds to hire with/without shade for about 8 Euros.
We would definately return lovely place!

The resort is kept nice and clean, the promenade looks good and the fountains were good to watch with their changing routines.
There are plenty of shops for retail therapy, although it was a little expensive. (Not sure if that's the effect of the Euro)
The beach has lovely sand and goes on forever. It is cleaned every evening, but unfortunately the sea is not drag netted and by our second week was quite dirty in places, in fact we had the nasty experience of paddling amongst used sanitary towels. Uuugh!! The sea is very shallow for quite a distance so ideal for children playing.
There are a lot of touts though, so you are accosted at every street corner.
Port Aventura is a good place to go but can be too busy to enjoy, especially on a hot day. The popular rides mean you wait over an hour for each one. We found it easier to get around when we went 2 years ago in September rather than in June. There are not many rides for children under 1.3 metres, but childeren under 3 do get in free.

I stayed in Salou it was the best holiday Ive been on the whole resort was brill.
There is everything for everybody. The lucky lucky people are brilliant I loved buying things off them.

salou is a great place quite liverly but the albatros is slightly out of the way up a sttep hill so it is not as noisy. there is a beach in front of the hill although the steps are dangerous but once you get down them it is a loverly small cove. loads of bars and restaurents with entertainment a great place to go

salou is full of things to do the beach is very long the streets are clean but quite grubby looking if you want to take your kids to see a clown act theire is a bar called jugglers the clown starts at 9 it is really good if you want a mcdonalds burger king or kfc they are right at the end of the beach

Stayed in Cap Salou, very quiet and uneventful area. However just E5 took us into Salou and we had a brilliant time at Port Aventure. This is our third visit and May a brilliant time to visit. No queues. Lots of cleaners around, brushing up and keeping everthing spotless. Food had a lot to be desired in Salou. Don't visit Sant Jordi restaurant, on the promenade in Salou, left of the fountain, facing the sea. Absolutely revolting. Thanks to Lineka 5000 for recommendation of Las Brasas Restaurant and Ice Cream shop beside taxi rank at fountain. Excellent

The surrounding area of the hotel looked like a bomb had gone off. Litter everywhere, dog excrement along the pavement outside the hotel. Until 11;30 quiet common to see all of the broken glasses on the path and roads outside the bars. Vomit across the pavement, people urinating at the side of buildings and on the beach.
Most of the bars had some sort of entertainment, if you have visited resorts further south in Spain then you will be disappointed by Salou and Cambrils neither offer much in the way of value for money. Park Adventura was dirty especially the Mediterranean Swim Park we walked in went to the changing area and walked straight back out. Hygiene standards in this part of Spain leave a lot to be desired with used sanitary products left lying on the floors of the changing areas.
The beaches could be nice if it wasn’t for the litter especially broken glass you wouldn’t want your children running around with out leather soled shoes on the beach to protect them from unnecessary visits to the hospital.
