Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Contrary to other reports, I found Salou to be clean, tidy, with plenty of things to do.
You can catch the train to Barcelona (approx 1hr 15min) which is well worth a visit.

I came to this resort in May.
The resorts cleanliness was very good.
The beach which was 10 minutes away from our hotel was great it was very big it was tidy and there were parks and plenty of things to do.
There was a Theme Park near by which was very good for young active families.
The resort entertainment I found poor for the kids as there was nothing to do but there was a wide range of bars to visit near by.
I recommend this resort to couples but certainly not for children.

We stayed in Cambrils and found it excellently clean. No sweet papers lying around the streets.
Entertainment in the resort is excellent all hotels and pubs have evening entertainment on most nights and you do not have to traval far to find it.
The beach in Cambrils and Salou is impecable and clean and an absolute pleasure to go on.
I will definitely be visiting this resort again as have done over the past five years.

The hotel is set out of the main resort of Salou, there are a few bars/resturants down the road but for more variety you would need to get a bus or taxi into Salou itself. The buses are frequent & cheap.
Salou has the usual selection of shops/pubs/restaurants etc and was easy to navigate.
The beach was cleanish and sandy.

It was a good choice. One problem, when we opened the bedroom window there was a train track on which trains would fly past very early in the morning.
The staff are very friendly. beds are very uncomfortable. Restaurants nearby which is handy also a supermarket. Beach is only a minute across the road... over all I really enjoyed myself!

Salou is great for all ages. there is plenty to see and do. Portaventura theme park is brilliant with the Caribe water park right next door. there are a few markets there for the bargains, such as Cambrils and Tarragona, which has the Aqualeon water park .the beach in salou has different parts to it like coves and cap salou is a very quiet area which is good.

The area where Sanguli is situated was pretty quiet when we visited in April. It seemed fairly residential with a good mix of local restuarants, bars and more typical touristy type restuarants. The near deserted beach was superb, and it was warm enough to lie in the sun. I can't say that I was too impressed by the look of the main, newer part of Salou, too much tat and tacky Brit bars for my liking.
There are local buses which will take you in to the newer part of Salou, Portaventura and Cambrils(excellent for food and shopping) for just over 1 euro. The train station is a ten minute walk from the site, where a return two and a half hour journey to Barcelona is less than 9 euros. Excellent value.
Roll on next Easter when we shall be returning, and hopefully the weather will be as equally good as it was this year.

Port Aventura - Salou.
We stayed at our hotel and Port Aventura - only venturing into Salou to buy bottles of drinking water! At the park you do need a little Spanish - the question the ride operators are most likely to ask you is ‘Cuantos sois?’ which means ‘How many are you?’ and a show of fingers is all you need to have in reply!! They are very strict on height restrictions on rides and very safety conscious – the Dragon Khan was often stopped if the weather conditions were not good enough. Annoyingly, the park opens bit by bit – so if you get there when it opens you can only get into Polynesia, then they open China and finally the Wild West and Mexico – up to two hours later – this does lead to congestion and queues on even quiet days. Maybe they do not do this in high season! There are some excellent rides and the shows are rather good too! If you don't like to become part of the show don't sit on the end of a row or at the front!! The theatres hold an amazing number of people and we only once got turned away as a show was full - that was the Wild West Can Can show!!! The stunt show at Fort Frenzee is excellent (if noisy!) and the Bird Show is wonderful - they stress that all the exotic birds were bred in captivity and the showman seems to have a genuine affection for the birds.
If you can stand the heat visit Templo del Fuego - scary but fantastic special effects!
Overall visitors were generally well behaved and it was noticeably less aggressive and brash than any British theme parks I've visited.

The hotel itself was situated between Salou & Cambrils, so you had a bus ride no matter what town you wanted to go visit.
Salou was entertaining, although like most resorts a bit hustle bustle. and the black people trying to sell sunglasses and stuff could be a nuisance.
Cambrils on the other hand, was a beautiful small fishing village, not for the young and lively of course, but myself and my family had a couple of good days here.
Port Aventura - was a bit of a dissapointment, our trip here was marred as our youngest was unwell, but mainly because there was a lot of walking everywhere and it was very hilly. not for the very young or elderly.
