Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

As this was my 4th time in Salou / Cambrills, it goes without saying that Salou is a great place for a family holiday.
The beach is brilliant and there are lots of Sunbeds for hire, loads of Watersport activities and plenty of Beach Bars for refreshments too!
The sea is so safe for the kids, you can walk out for 100's of yards and still stand up ! There are loads of Bars in Salou that cater for everyone
Eating out is a must in Salou, every type of restuarant imaginable can be found.
Best family bars we found were Lazy Wave and Robin Hood and would recommend these bars to any potential X Factor contestant!!

The resort was very clean and we noticed hotel workers constantly cleaning up.
The beaches were beautiful and again very clean. We went to Aquapolis waterpark, a ten min bus ride it was an excellent day out.
We went on Jeep Adventure, a real exciting day but it's not for very young children. We went on the day trip to Barcelona (beautiful place)we went to the zoo and nou camp, great day out.
Roll on September 2007 when we shall be returning.

La Pineda is a lovely resort and very clean. It was not at all what I expected, given its proximity to Salou (we visited there one day and its very tacky), however it was totally different and very nice.
It was fairly quiet and much more suitable for families or those looking for a nice realxing low key holiday (not a drunken yob in sight). We found several kids play areas dotted along the beach front, which were a real bonus travelling with a young child. Its proximity to Port Aventura is a real bonus. Aquopolis is also another bonus to the resort.
The beach standard was excellent. Every evening a tractor came along and raked all the sand, so it was nice and soft for the next day. The only complaint was the amount of cigarette butts left in the sand. This is the fault of other tourists and there really was no excuse, as there are bins dotted very regularly all along the beach, however people seemed to think it was acceptable to contaminate the lovely beach with their cigarette ends.
I'd definitely visit this resort again, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good beach holiday.

The resort itself was clean in most parts, we only saw one area near the local beach which appeared to be a rubbish dumping ground for the locals- nice!
There were a lot of bars, but a few of the cocktail bars were a bit on the pricey side. Be warned if you don't like being hassled by people, as we were continuously given vouchers for bars and asked over and over again "come to my bar?" (annoying after 3 nights!) The places we ate at were lovely, try Masala for traditonal Indian food.
We had the most tasty meat Paella in Boomerangs, and the chinese restaurants have great tasting food. Shops in Salou are all very similar but good for gifts and go on for miles! We had a great holiday and didn't want to come home :-)

Salou was as good a resort as i have been to,the only fault was the entertainment at night was not very good for the over fifties.

there is plenty to do in salou and we might go back only for this reason
people are not really friendly

Salou is a clean place togo there are always people picking up rubbish and sweeping the roads.
Resort enterainment was fab we used togo to a bar called
Coco's clown bar my son loved it.
The beach was a nice day out not to full on the days we went.
My family and I are going again in May 07 try it money well spent.

we travelled to sanguli camping site and stayed in a exec 8 lodge which was great, everything was brilliant i havent one complaint at all, where goin again this september and i cant wait, its very highly recommended by me and my family. the ampitheatre is mind blowing and the chose of 3 pools
