Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Quiet boring full of street traders trying to sell you stuff. Beach is very nice.

The beach is cleaned every night then in the morning there are three men picking up the litter where the the machine couldnt get, the beach is very clean with golden fine sand, the sea is very safe, I'm not a swimmer, I paddled out a good twenty yards and was still only up to my hips in the water, its fantastic.
There are loads of shops and supermarkets along the front then more up the side streets
We had a walk up the beach front every day.
There's the market every Friday behind the Aquaopolis water park, which is a five minute walk, you can see it from the hotel, you can also see Port Aventura from the hotel.
There are also three good English bar/restaurants, the bowling just across the road, the waterfront five minutes walk away in the middle of the shops then Annes beach bar, on the beach a ten mins walk away.
The buses are literaly every five minues, we hopped on a bus and went to Salou for the day then we went to Cambrils the day after, they were both very nice places to visit. Salou being very busy and Cambrils very quiet, typically Spanish.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has children or is looking for a quiet laid back holiday.

Resort cleanliness was good.
Not a great deal for adults to do everything seemed to be up a lot of stairs. I managed to fall down the stairs outside small supermarket, luckily only scrapes and bruises.
Beach standard was very good but I had read that sun beds were free to hotel residents but we were charged 4 euros
no would not visit resort again - to reach bus stop you had to climb steep hill and it was very off putting.

I'd been told that Salou was like Blackpool and not very clean, but the town and beach were spotless, and the promenade area with its bars and restaurants were great. There was plenty of different restaurants and bars to choose from in the town, with some excellent English pubs. The shops were okay, but the majority of them sold tacky gifts, and there were a lot of counterfeit Barcelona football tops on sale.

Myself and my boyfriend (22 & 27) stayed in Salou at the end of Aug - Sept for 2 weeks. We both really enjoyed the resort and would happily go back again.
Weather: During this time the weather was around 27c almost everyday - with only 2 or 3 days being slightly overcast but remaining warm.
Beach: We found the beach to be clean, and nice sand - we were charged 8 euros for 2 sunbeds for the day.
Shops: There were plenty of shops around, all along the main promenade, most of these sold football shirts and souvenirs. There were some shops selling sweets and perfume and also quite a few supermarkets - reasonable prices.
Restaurants: We enjoyed the food here, there were plenty of restaurants for all tastes - the ones we enjoyed most were Chippys for lunch - good sandwiches, we had a great steak at the Orient Express (went back twice) and Quinty (think that was what it was called) on the beach front do a really great Paella. Also Uncle Sams the American diner - huge portions, great service and good food.. always queues for a table - was very popular.
Trips: Really enjoyed the Barcelona trips, went on two, firstly to the Zoo and the Nou Camp which was brilliant and then on the second went to La Ramblas and the Magic Fountains - which was totally worth every penny.
Port Adventura: We had a 3-day pass.. which included entrance to the water park - had some really good days here - even though I'm not a huge fan of theme parks. We used the buses which go up to Port Adventura from Salou 1.40 one-way and really reliable.
Bars: All the bars we went to we enjoyed, spent lots of time at Lunatic on the beach front - they do great cocktails and good ice creams, also liked Tropical - another cocktail bar, Charlie Chaplins - Friday night Hypnotist show - very funny, Piccadilly seemed popular with younger people and we enjoyed a night in Bus Stop.
Only downsides were people trying to sell you things on the street (sunglasses etc) and people giving you about a million leaflets on the bars every night.
Anyway, I hope this helps! As I said, we would recommend the resort - also for families too, there always seemed to be something on for children - something for everyone really.

Cap Salou is much quieter than Salou itself. I would not recommend it to people who have walking difficulties as there is a lot of uphill walking to get were you want. The bus service is excellent and cheap to get to all the local places to visit. eg; Salou, La Pineda ( recommended for the beach), Cambrills (beautiful harbour)or further afield for Port Aventura and Barcelona.

The resort was OK not much to do in Cap Salou but Salou town centre was good only a short journey on the bus. There were a few bars and a tiny beach.

Salou is fantastic for families, plenty of entertainment bars and mini golf ect for people to do in the evening, and plenty of shops for buying gifts.
There is a bit of graffiti about but nothing too bad that would ruin the place, the prom is lovely and clean as is the beach.
The beach can get a bit packed so we ended up finding one in cap salou which was great, lovely and clean and empty.
I love Salou and have been 4 times now and will be going agin

Cap Salou is a small resort close to Salou.
It has only a few shops and bars - but these are really nice and there is also a small funfair for young kids.
There are two small beaches here - both very clean and one has a wonderful snack bar with it.
There are reliable buses every 15 minutes to take you into Salou itself and a host of other places. You can also take a stroll along the coastal path into Salou, which takes about 35 minutes.

although we werent mad on our hotel we were in an excellent location and were close to the bars and pubs that we liked. i found salou to have a great night life and all the prs were very friendly and not annoying as some of them can be when your away there was a great atmosphere in salou even though we got the worst week ever for weather with thunder and lightening storms 4 out of our seven days
all in all i would reccomend salou but not delphin park for young people.
