Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

This is our 6th visit to Salou and so I can say that we will definately be going back. There isn't much I can fault about Salou as it is really a good family resort. Excellently clean beaches and streets. Very close to Port Aventura and if you don't mind a bumpy ride the little trains that go around the resort all go there. 3euro for adults and 1.50 for kids.

Salou is a clean resort. Beaches are excellent. Entertainment not to my taste though. Would I go back again? hmm, probably not. Been twice already.

Resort of Salou is very good, bar I recomend is Beachlife, great, friendly and enthusiastic staff. wonderful promenade. Lovely beach. would return to this resort.

The resort itself was very quiet. There were a few bars, restaurants and supermarkets scattered about.

Have been to Salou four times in the last two years.
We would highly recommend the resort. Very clean and tidy and plenty to do.
There are lots of places to eat and we have never been disappointed with any we have visited.
All the people in Salou are friendly And helpful.
Make sure you visit Portaventura !

The resort is quiet in February but a few places were getting ready for opening so some works are going on and the trees were being cut back when we were there.
Dog mess seems to be a bit of a problem so watch your footing.
Entertainment was very limited but a few places were open so there is someting to do and some of the shops are worth visiting.
The beach was clean and we even went paddling one day it was a bit cold on the feet but they soon warmed up in the sun.
I would visit Salou again as it is easy to see other places along the coast using the local bus which is cheap.

First visit to Salou, and would probably go again. Very quiet at this time of year and not many places open. Beaches lovely - golden sand, much better than expected.
Mostly 3* hotels in the area we stayed in - many closed. Shops/eating out quite good value, but mostly gift shops open selling same old tat. Promenade has obviously had a recent revamp and was excellent.
Went to Tarragona on the bus, but wish we hadn't bothered. Cambrils much nicer - not the little fishing village it has been described as - not for many years!

Didn't really venture out into Salou much as spent most of our time at Port Aventura (which is fantastic) or in our hotel. What we did see of the resort we were really impressed by. Beautiful beach, lots of shops and bars. Being the first week of October things were a bit quieter which suited us fine. We will definitely return to Salou very soon!

Found the area cheap and dirty, no nice reataurants to eat with nice views.
Every row of shops same old tat.
Beach was nice and clean so thats improved but nothing special at all.
