Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Plenty of shops selling trash that the kids always nag for when walking past. Plenty of bars, you can find a bar to suit every taste.
Quite a few good eating places, a few bad ones aswell but the thats down to personal choice.
The beach is brilliant and very clean. Every few hundred yards is a small play area for children which is very good.
There are buses readily available to get you out and about to near by resorts. Theres also the land train which goes about the resort all day.
You can do a complete resort tour for 3 euros.

Resort was nice but very small not many nice shops too many tourist type shops.Entertainment was nil.Beach good.

Salou is a lovely place to come for a holiday, it has great beaches and a wide range of shops and food outlets.
Locals are friendly and the town is clean.
Buses and trams run regularly so there are plenty of places to visit.
I would recommend Salou/Costa Daurada for a great holiday!

The resort was quiet, with a nice beach. We visited Portaventura twice, brilliant place! We also went to Aquapolis water park for a day, rubber rings were expensive, we managed fine without them. We didnt look for evening entertainment, as we were very busy in the day.
Overall we were happy with the location. Everything we needed close by to keep 4 teenagers (13-15) happy.

the area we stayed in was good in that it was only a short taxi drive to the centre of salou.

Salou is much the same as last year, nightclub touts on the street, overflowing bins, however the front has now been completed and the fountains are beautiful.
Also the stage on the front was excellent with local bands playing there the twice we had a stoll outside the hotel (after bingo of course)
All in all, another fantastic super family holiday, ready to book for next year.

what can we say the resort is great for families five minutes walks you to the beach there is a beautiful walk way along the top of the beach with fantastic views down to salou town.
we will most certainly be going back

only went into salou twice and thought it was horrible. would definrtly never stay yhere no matter how cheap the holiday price. the portaventura theme park is fantastic had a ball there there is something for everyone. there is so much to do on this holiday you wont get time to draw breath and you are not constantly shelling out money as all the rides are covered in the theme park. there are great shows going on in tere too its worth planning your day to take in one or two and also get a break from all the walking. you can hire out single or double trollies for smaller kids which are great. also there is a place in salou thay hires buggies but this is kinda hard to find as its a bar i think its called buddys. we cant wait to go back.

The beach was lovely and there is lots of lovely bars and restaurants we tried different ones every night. The place was not that clean as big bins overflowing on streets every day
