Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Salou is great, everything going on from trendy bars to family oritentaed shows. Port aventura is also nearby. Good bus into cambrils which is more upmarket and well worth a seafood lunch in the harbour. Fantastic family location, no gangs or yobbos

Salou is a mixed bag, the streets surrounding the hotel are grubby and full of graffiti, the shops are pretty much what you get everywhere, but once you get to the beach and promenade, which is only a ten minute walk away, its beautiful. There are water fountains running the length of the beach which illuminate at night. We walked to Cambrils along the promenade which again was lovely
If you are looking for an enjoyable family holiday, Salou is the place to go, but definitely not, if you are looking for a relaxing quiet fortnights break

Salou is overall a clean place. Just some streets are a little grubby looking. I think it comes from the pavements having trees planted in little squares cut out of the pavements and they look a bit dirty. Large wheely bins are dotted here and there making it look a little worse but the main walkway on Salou's main road is just spectacular especially at night. Lined with palm trees and lit up and loads of lighted fountains it is just so fantastic for taking a romantic stroll. The beach is beautiful and wide with golden sand. Only 2 hours from Barcelona, you can pay locally for a bus trip to Barca and see the Nou Camp for 27 Euros. Well worth it, don't book it through the rep - too expensive. And then there is wonderful Portaventura theme park. Fantastic. We booked our tickets for the theme park over the web before we left the UK. A 3-day ticket for £48 or 63 Euros and believe me we used the 3 days up at the park. It's just so good. I won't spoil the surprise for anyone going for the first time. The weather was fantastic and overall we had such a brill holiday.

excellent front with several fountains and tree lined walks the beach is superb for families though the resort as its share of english pubs we all steered clear of them.will we go back yes we have already booked

The resort is perfect for families especially if you have young children. Every bar provides entertainment and most of them concentrate on your children and their needs. We were very impressed and my daughter loved it.

If you want a lively holiday with plenty of bars and resturants that stay open until the small hours then this resort is for you.
We found it to be constant noise. The bins were emptied every night at around midnight, people were shouting and screaming well into the night - with the police having to be called on one occasion to break up a fight in the hotel at 4am.
The beaches looked very nice and clean and the area around the main beach was spotless.
If we went to the area again we would probably stay in Cambrils or Cap Salou which is flatter and quieter.

This has been our fifth visit to this resort in the past fifteen years. It is excellent for families.I have never seen any troublemakers, or hooligans. The beach is excellent. The theme parks of Porta Ventura are always worth visiting, and enjoyable for all ages ( although the admission prices have risen quite steeply recently)

The resort was very clean, a good variety of nightlife there if wanted. The water fountains on the beach front are a must at night. The beach it's self was very clean and loads of sunbeds available, which cost 4 euros each. I would definetly reccomend this resort to others, the airport is very small though. Port aventura is a good day out along with aquapolis water park.
