Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

The beach was lovely, very long and sandy which was brilliant for the kids.
The water park was a great day out and there was an amazing dolphin show.

resort was busy with plenty of activity. lots of shops, bars and eating places close by. resort entertainment was ok, but plenty of other options nearby. beach was spotless and not overcrowded. beware of the spanish drivers as pedestrian crossings mean nothing to them. public transport very good and cheap.

Salou is a fantastic resort to stay in, clean, neat and very friendly. I would definately stay again in Salou.

We stayed in Cap Salou which was about 20 mins walk North of Salou. The resort was small and very quiet -which was perfect for us with two young children. There are a few pubs and bars where you can have a drink and something to eat. There is a little childrens' fair which is quite reasonable (about £1 a ride) however, lacks a little on Health & Safety ! Couple of supermarkets and gift shops and a little childrens park. The Cala Font beach was lovely and clean and very safe for little ones as it was very shallow - but the waves are great for boats and lilos-under adult supervision of course!
Would like to visit the resort again as we had a lovely time and it was a very relaxing holiday destination.
p.s Try to go to Port Aventura Theme Park.It is fantastic and well worth a visit,it's only 10 mins from Cap Salou- buy your tickets in the UK they are much cheaper- we got a 7 day pass for the price of 3 !!

Great for families and youngsters 16 to 30s but other groups not a lot to offer
we are Benidorm people we are used to entertainment
from 9pm to 4am in cabaret bars but this not in Salou
there is some bars with acts but they have only 1 a night
always on at the same time.Drinks very expensive compared
to beni Salou local beer average 2.5Euros Benidorm 1Euro
The same with spirits Beachs are very nice but Spanish
locals take it over very much so at wends

we beached every day, toilets available every 200yds with attendants (very very clean)
the sand was cleaned every evening so next day the beach was imaculate.
You have to visit Port-aventura........AMAZING.
Would certianly visit Salou agian.

the resort of salou is lovely. its huge too so theres always something new to see everyday. there are plenty of nice restaraunts and bars. the beach is lovely but very crowded early on in the day. there are plenty of showers dotted along the beach too.
there are a lot of water fountains around the resort and there is a fantastic one near the harbour that is all lit up and the water moves to music. and there's another one that shoots water up at various intervals and people run through it and hope that the water doesnt get them wet before they get to the centre of it.
all in all, salou is a lovely place. just dont stay at the jaime 1 hotel if you go there.

the resort was excellent for young and old, very clean and plenty to do,port aventura is a must to visit so too is the aquopolis water park at la pineda ,nearby cambrils is a lovely fishing town with lots of nice restaurants and bars, the beach quality is superb with golden sand and it is very clean, we liked it so much we have booked to return in 2008

The resort of Salou was excellent for cleanliness. We did'nt find any problems entertainment wise. The main part of the resort is very family friendly and in the day there is the water park and theme park to visit which should'nt be missed. The beach is fab again with lots to do and the promenade is great for a stroll in the evening.
I would definatly rec. the water fountian maze at the end of the prom near the harbour our kids spent hours of fun in there whilst we sat chillin in the sun.
