Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

The resort was very good and was near to loads of shops and water parks.
The beach was very good and wasnt too crowded and it had shops near by.

Recommend going to Port Adventura, Costa Caribe(waterpark)and day trip to Barcelona. Best going to Port Adventura in the evening, closes at 12midnight. Very hot during the day, cooler in evenings.

The resort area is great - loads of shops, restaurants and bars (try The Queens for a great meal, entertainment and very friendly staff). The beach is very nice and the sea is usually clean, when it is dirty it's with seaweed and not rubbish (No jellyfish !!)
The walk into Salou is really nice. Either along the road looking at the shops or along the promenade alongside the beach - it's a lovely stroll of an evening. Only about 30-45 mins. Salou itself is very nice, not too keen on the main Salou town centre of an evening with the kids - full of party goers and lager louts/laddettes. Only time we felt unsafe was here at night time.
Other than that we loved Cambrilis and Salou and would definately return and recommend. Have a great holiday - we did !!!

Cap Salou is very quiet, it has a few shops and bars.On the plus side the 3 small beaches are lovely, clean sand crystal clear water and very safe shallow water.

We really enjoyed visiting the Port Aventura theme park and spent every night there of our holiday. I recommend buying your tickets to the theme park at the travel agents before your holiday as they do some great deals and we got 14 days for the price of 3.
You cannot visit the theme park just once as you will not see everything you need to see.
The firework show is spectacular and breathtaking and is well worth it.

The hotel was in Cap Salou and had entertainment every night (got a little boring at times with the kids disco doing the same thing every time).
Salou and Le Pineda beaches were very clean but a little crowded. The shops along the promenade were good if not a little repetative, with the same tee shirts and baseball caps.
Driving was easy if you take care. (We hired a car but you don't need one as the busses and taxi's are good and cheap).
A visit to Porta Ventura and the water parks are recommended. Porta Ventura is a must at night and going on all the big rides are a must.
I would definitley go back.

THe old town of Salou is great and well worth a visit, we didnt like the new end as it had that "Blackpool" feel to it.

Will we go back to Cambrils.? Yes we definitely will. Hopefully next year, but will certainly not be staying at the Esmeralda.

Salou was a very lively spot with plenty of things to do.There are plenty of shops.
The theme park was fab.We had unlimitted access which was great.The hotel train brought you to the park and collected you too.
The water park is brilliant - a great day out.
