Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

The hotel is in La Pineda, not far from Salou.
There are shops and bars and an excellent Italian restaurant nearby.
It is not right in the centre of La Pineda but you can walk to all the shops and bars.
You are also 2 minutes walk away to the water park, which was great.

Salou is a fantastic resort.
Lots to do and see. A stroll along the sea front is really pleasant and a great way to spend day or evening.
Lots of bars, shops and retains a spanish feel.

Salou is a great resort, this was our second visit. There is plenty to do all night. Not sure about the daytime, we spent it on the beach or shopping. Salou is the best place I have ever been for tat shopping.
We shopped for three days and there were still plenty of shops we never got to. The beach is lovely and clean, with loads of water sports, ie banana boats, jet skis, pedalos. There are also lots of shaded areas, with gazebos which you can hire for the day.
The beach at Salou is never ending, and although we tried, we couldn't walk the full length of it. There are a few bars and restaurants on the beach. Salou is fantastic for families with children. There are playgrounds every ten minutes on the front. The fountains which line the promenade are beautiful, especially at night when illuminated.
There are plenty of English pubs serving meals all day with entertainment, such as karaoke and quiz nights. Some do fun and games for the kids too, like the Rovers Return, although it didn't start till 9.30 and the kids were shattered by then. We would definitley return to Salou as a family, although not the old town until the kids are much older. We would like to be more in the resort centre, purely for entertaining the kids.

The resort is very clean. The entertainment is fair. There are plenty bars to go for a quiet drink, hardly any live music we recommend the Titanic pub which is just across the street from the hotel.
The beach is very clean nice and flat to walk along.

Salou is a wonderful area to visit.
The beaches are very clean and always tidy, the promenade is one of the nicest i have ever walked along.
Along the main road there are several mini golf places and arcades the best one is right at the far end of the main road beside champions bar.
You must of course visit Port Aventura theme park they have a new ride this year Herakon Condor, it is awesome!!!

La Pineda - beautiful resort with spotlessly clean beach
Small variety of shops and night life.
Some fabulous hotels too.
Salou - beach area quite nice. Rest of resort looked a bit 'tired' and in need of a face lift.

Resort is full of usual bars and good selection of basic restaurants - much quieter than neighbouring Salou. If you want lots of wild nights out La Pineda is not for you but for families who want hotel based entertainment and good meals out this is your place. Recommend The Waterfront for excellent meals at good value prices!

We found the resort fine for what we were there for, it was a bit tacky with lots of british pubs but we didn't go into Salou very often.
The beach was beautiful and clean and streched for miles.

The quieter side to Salou, waterpark there, few shops, seemed to be enough places to eat and drink if self catering.
Buses to Tarragona and Salou frequent, also a few times a day to Barcelona.
Beach nice but somedays seemed to have problem with jellyfish.
Watch out at weekend for the crazy Spanish youths doing handbrake turns in there cars and even dafter wheelies on there motorbikes.

Your room key gives you access to the Caribe water park and Port Aventura Theme Park. We were out of season so there were no restrictions on how many times we were able to visit both parks however I am aware that in July and August they only entitle you to one visit to caribe water park.
You can also show the cards at the rides and you will get express service, where you wont have to queue, show your card at the shows and you get VIP seating. This card is worth its weight in gold I can tell you. Eight of us had a fab holiday here, its great for kids and adults alike.
We walked to Salou the local village and took a wander along the beach front, I wouldnt advise spending any time on the beach, it was dirty and there were sanitary products lying on the sand.
In my opinion there is no need to spend time at the beach in salou, there is a small splash pool for babies, and two larger pools, one with a man made beach at the hotel. I would definitely recommed this hotel it was far better than any of the others we saw during our stay!!
