Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

La Pineda is a great resort for the family, will be going back there next year, but sadly to a different hotel.

I loved Tarragona. It was my first time abroad, the staff make you feel very welcome. I also made a lot of friends there.

Resort was very clean, very little rubbish about. Lots to do, and very pretty. Not everything was open when we visited, however this was to be expected when visiting in April. The green flag beaches were very good - and were cleaned and flattened every single night. Would definitely visit again!

We arrived in Salou on April 2nd and to be fair the season hadn't started, everyone looked as though they were getting things ready, some hotels weren't even open! So it is difficult for me to comment as I would say in June, July and August things would be very different.
We visited Port Aventura...This is well worth a visit but again some things weren't open, but the good thing was you didn't have to queue for anything and if you wanted to go again it was no problem.
We also visited Caribe Water Park but the indoor pool was the only thing open maintenance was being done to the outdoor part. The Aquapolis Park hadn't opened so we didn't get the chance to try that.
We walked to La Pineda one day and again some of the shops were closed, but in Salou town most things were open.
The Beach are very nice white sand and no stones.
Would we visit this resort again??? Well some friends of ours are flying out for a week next month and we are joining them for a long weekend before they come home so does that answer the question.
Getting around Salou is very easy as Plana buses are always about.

There's a great beach about five minutes walk away from the hotel, its down lots of steps but we took a baby and a buggy down there so no problems, some days we were the only people on the beach

Salou is a resort that has not succumbed to high rise hotels and this is to its credit. It is lovely between September and May but is bursting at the seams during July and August. The main beach and promenade are big, clean and well patroled. Buses are cheap and plentiful. It is noticable how the taxis charge 30€ from Reus Airport to Salou but only 25€ from Salou back to Reus Airport.

Not much you can say about this resort in March, but clean and tidy.

Salou is a very brash and vulgar and I would dread to stay in the high season. The next time we go we will stay in Cambrils a much classier resort with nice restaurants and cafes.

Too quiet and too tacky. Could have gone to Blackpool instead and had a far better time.
