Nothing much to do outside of the hotel but taxis everywere. Approx 1 pound in a taxi to yasmin hammamet.
We enjoyed a great day out at a theme park for 20 pounds carthage land. Really quiet and clean could stay on the rides all day.
The beach at hammamet is lovely. My husband and son went paragliding for 25 dinar approx 12 pounds.
And on a jet ski for 30 dinar. We found the area really cheap and for a first time came back with money.

In general Hammamet, in our opinion is far nicer than the southern parts of Tunisia. There is so much to see and do , especially if you like historical sites. Will be returning this year to do all of the thigs we missed last year.

The resort is clean and reasonably well maintained.
There is lots of entertainment available in town, clubs, bars, restuarants, cafes, coffe shops, museums and cultural sites.
A short taxi ride will take you to a water park, a go-kart track, or a childrens fairground type area.
The beach is lovely and kept clean, with a shallow slope into the clean water of the Med.
Yes I would visit this resort again.

The resort of Hammamet was not what I expected as I have been to many tourist resorts in Europe and this was not like any.
This is a poor country and the locals will pester you to buy things but this is their way of making a living don’t be put off just be prepared to say no and walk away as they don’t believe in just browsing.
The resort does have nice little cafes overlooking the beach.
Taxis are cheap and if you can’t handle Hammamet Medina then pay a visit to Yasmine Hammamet, this seems much more relaxed and typically tourist looking.
This is a man made resort and looked a lot nicer than Hammamet but seems quite built up with hotels but not on a grand scale.
Worth a visit definitely.

The beach really is the saving grace of this resort. It is clean and inviting, especially if you have a private beach attached to your hotel. Elsewhere in resort, poverty is there to be seen, and cleanliness is not high priority off the beach.
Taxis are cheap and plentiful but some belong on the scrap heap!
If you have been to, and enjoyed Spanish costas or Balearic isles, then this resort may not appeal unless you want a complete culture shock. We did enjoy the culture, and visits to El Jem (Roman coliseum) etc are worth the visit alone.
We had bad weather but would still prefer the beach to shopping.
The medina was an experience! We do not scare easily but there was open hostility if you declined a visit to one of their shops. Do NOT follow the traders as they will try to talk you into going with them. It is a shame because many people end up going home with no souvenirs because they will just not let you browse. We ended up buying our gifts from a few select traders who understood the need to stand back and let us choose on our own! Do try to get past the traders and upstairs in the Kasbah as it has lovely sea views.
We were also shocked to be offered baby tortoises to take home for a few dinars. I would have loved one, but this is illegal and I had to search my son on departure as he was desperate to rescue them all!
Hammamet must have some nightlife, but we didn’t find any that suited us! We only really ventured into other hotels and found the evenings very quiet everywhere. It could be because it is early in the season but I think people should be aware that this does seem quite normal, maybe because trips begin so early!!
I did have an enjoyable holiday, because we did trips and camel riding which we have never done before. Hammamet is fine if you remember the pointers about shopping and entertainment and are prepared for it. If I do return to Tunisia I would probably try a different resort, as the transfer from Monastir is nearly 2 hours.

There was no entertainment at all at this resort that any British families could take part in. We were lucky we had no kids with us I just hope some of the people we met with kids put there reviews on this.
I would never visit this resort again.

Resort was quiet but we did go very early in the season. Beaches were still being cleaned but were lovely. The Medina of Hammamet is around 5 mins away in a taxi and costs 3-4TD and the Medina in Hammamet Yasmine is around the same so easy access to both.
Haggling with the locals was great fun and don't be afraid to start at a really low price we got some great bargains.

The hotel was situated to far from the resort centre, so we cannot coment on it .
The cleanliness of the beach made us not want to stay on it.

Was in a remote location with other hotels / private challets on what seemed to be a quite uninhabited area although we were out of season. Seemed clean enough.
Resort entainment was limited to the hotel and european in orgin as the hotel is not usual used by uk people. Again, we were out of season but the Yasmine Hammamet complex was a 5 mins taxi ride away seems to have bars/night clubs.
Aprox £2.50 for a one way journey.
Private beach - but not the sandy ones advertised as you could not really walk in to the ocean from the seaweed and some man made debris. Resort further down - Yasmine
Hammamet did have the sandy beach and spotless that were cleaned every morning and beach resort staff helpful and friendly - again £2.50 taxi ride or a 30-40mins walk down from the private beach and across the boat harbour. £1.00 a day to hire a sun lounger with parasol cover per person.
Would we visit the resort again? - not where the hotel was as there was not a "resort" as such but maybe further down the road in the Yasmine Hammamet complex.

The resort of Yasmine is in the middle of nowhere with hardly any bars/ cafes near by, if you don't want to go anywhere and just chill out you'll probably enjoy it.
Taxis are plentiful and cheap (make sure they put the meter on) about 3TD to Hammamet centre. Yasmine centre has little to offer although there were nice boats in the port to look at.
If you want a night out get a taxi to Belair hotel then walk past the Irish bar next door and in the next door, they have sport on a big screen and a bowling ally which is cheap and well run, loads of fun, it is an English bar and the drinks are a bit expensive, but after 9pm it's buy one get one free on beer but not spirits, if you crave English food you'll love it here.
We would not visit Yasmine again as the location is poor, but we would go back to Tunisia again, the people are friendly and the country is beautiful
