The hotel was very clean and the chamber maids cleaned the rooms well. It was a short walk past the pool to reach the beach. all in all it was a fantastic time.

P-El-K was excellent, plenty to see and do. Marina is beautiful both day and night. Plenty of places to eat and drink. loads of place to spend your money with plenty of local shop assistants eager to take it away from you (learn to haggle it really does work !)
Overall we had a great time, weather was brill both got tans, we would go back but would try somewhere different in the resort.

The resort cleanliness was generally ok, though there are some horrible smells from the drains!
The resort entertainment is virtually nil, though there are loads of bars and shops!
The beach standards were quite good and the locals did seem to keep the beaches very clean.
We won't be visiting the resort again, this was our second time and we want to see other countries.

The resort appeared very clean, there were so many people around it was difficult to notice if there was any litter.
Can't comment on the beach or resort entertainment as we didn't visit either but I heard that there were lots of nice restaurants in the marina area.
Our next visit to Tunisia will definitely come back to PEK-we had a wonderful holiday.

Port El Kantoui stinks of horse piss and horse shit. The roads and pavements are covered in it.(please take shoes or trainers to walk around in - I only had sandals so ended up buying some- I was so worried about what I was walking in).The whole town stinks and it really is not very nice and the aroma gets a bit rich if it has rained.
The quickest way to the beach is down the road just across the main road, but mind the piles of horse shit in the road and the metal rods sticking out of the walls.
The beach is not spectacular and the water is not at all clear. There is a load of seaweed all along the beach and you are plagued by flies and beech vendors.
Port El Kantoui is quite and reasonably pretty in appearance but yet again you cannot have a quiet stroll around or a look in the shops because you are plagued. We gave up trying to look in any shops.
We had a couple of snacks in the port, the best thing that I can say about them was that the food served in them was a considerable improvement to the food that was being served in the hotel.
Toilets, even in the cafes and bars can leave a lot to be desired so take your own toilet rolls/ tissues and some antiseptic hand wash.
One good thing. Just past the entrance to the Zoo is a supermarket and the Tunisian equivalent to an off-licence which was exceedingly good value.

Port El-Kantoui is a great place for people who want to a taste of Tunisia without actually seeing it as it really is. It is not a town or village that evolved into a holiday resort - it was built specifically to meet the requirements of European holidaymakers. If you want a real taste of Tunisian life head for the Medina in Sousse but be prepared to be hassled by the salesmen and shocked by the squalor in the back streets around that area.

I found it very clean regarding litter as there never seemed to be any about in the streets or anything. Don't think there was much in the way of entertainment outside the hotel but we didn't go looking for it.
We were just 5 minutes walk away from the Port (El Kanaoui) which made for a nice stroll along, looking at the shops and generally relaxing. There was an excellent artist who did portraits which bore really good likenesses to his subjects and only took him half an hour.
We went on the catamaran twice and saw dolphins - that was well worth it.
Only down thing about the whole stretch of beach was people leaving their cigarette ends in the sand.!!! Such a shame in such an idyllic setting, especially with such beautiful sand.
I went parascending on the beach - that was absolutely brilliant!!!! don't go home without doing it. I wanted to go on the Saraha trip but all that travelling put me off (11 hrs with breaks every 1 1/2 hrs)- I'd like to go in the future though it sounds brilliant.

Port el kantoui is clean and well presented. We always felt safe and found a visit to the resort to cost £1.20 in a taxi and £4.00 is a horse a carriage. The marina itself has a lot of boat trips to offer as well as cafes and restaurants. We went a a brilliant camel and horse ride, visited Aqua palace and number of organised excursions. There was enough to keep us busy for 2 weeks. We would not stay port el kantoui again but would choose to stay in sousse instead.

Port el Kantoui is a very quaint resort with its marina and waterside restraunts.
Gift shops allso abound around the marina and fountains. Most shops are fixed prices so you dont always have to haggle, all in all a relaxed place.

The hotel is clean but could be improved, entertainment is poor could do with a jazz up reps looked totally.
The beach is 5 minutes away and clean and tidy with the local trying to sell you bannanas, head scarfs, papers, mats and cigs. You just need to say no or shake your head.
