Everything was very clean and tidy, with waiters constantly clearing and cleaning tables, whether in the restaurant or by the pool.
The pool was great - massive and cold enough to be very refreshing in the heat. It is all the same depth (1.5m), with depth markers next to each set of steps and there is also a children's pool. There were plenty of sunloungers (with cushions!) and parasols to go around, as long as you didn't turn up until 11am!
The private beach was nice, but not very big and will benefit when the terraces around it are completed.
Food was good - a wide selection and lots of healthy options, it got a bit samey after 5/6 days, but you would expect it to. I don't think there was ever a time when food wasn't served somewhere in the resort though - burgers, chips, cake, ice cream, pancakes - you name it, it was there!
The only spirits on offer were vodka and gin and be careful of paying extra for others - at 13 Lira for a Malibu, it soon adds up! However, it's not like you get a 25ml shot - more like 75ml, so I guess

We had a good holiday only booking at the last minute so was very pleased with our accommodation and the hotel overall, not sure how we would feel if we had paid full price.
This hotel is probably going to be lively once all finished - music played almost all day around the pool and we were constantly asked to join in the activities.
We struggled for the first couple of days to find anywhere to sit around the pool, not enough beds (but solved the problem by getting up at 7.00am to put out towels!! this wasn't ideal when your on holiday)
The hotel was almost finished but nothing to bother us with - the beach disco was still being built which is probably going to be very loud (lots of testing going on while we were there and we could hear it all over the hotel).
The entertainment was just about ok for our two (7 & 5) but not sure what there is to do if you have older children. The slides into the pool were enjoyed by our 7 year old but one of them wasn't working after a couple of days and remained closed for the rest of our holiday. The beach was peaceful and kept very clean, loads of beds but not enough parasols to go round, although we did see regular deliveries arriving so the hotel is trying to keep up with demand.
Food was brilliant plenty to eat and very well presented (did get a bit bored by end of week though)
Take care of the floor which became slippy on a few occasions, my daughter went flying with a plateful one evening (the waiters all rushed to her aid and were very apologetic).
The drinks were ok although we did pay for some drinks that were not included which was costly although they were 5* prices. Which leave us to say the hotel in our opinion is great and we had a good rest but it is definitely not 5* (not at the moment anyway) not if you compare it to many other 5* hotels available.
It is excellent value for money if you are paying the reduced prices currently on offer but if we had paid more we would have been very disappointed.

the shower was extremely dangerous as it flooded the bathroom after every use and my 3 year old slipped on numerous occasions, the fridge didnt work for the whole stay and the air conditioning broke once which was fixed quickly after we managed to get the reception staff to understand us.
there were plenty of sunbeds for us with staff arriving with more beds and tables and chairs everyday.
the food in the main restaurant had a variety for adults but not enough variety for children, although the beach bar did open after being there 3 days which my son and daughter named the new mcdonalds. there was no air conditioning in the main restaurant which made it quite uncomfortable to eat and had a tendency to attract flies i have since read this has been sorted,i hope so. staff in the restaurant were friendly and i believe are still learning as they listened when you had a problem.
the pool was the biggest we have seen just abit dangerous as when we got there no depths had been put up good job my kids are fishes. slides were very good after life guard organised people coming down on dingys with no consideration for others.
the entertainment team worked hard to keep you occupied and tryed to get you to join in if you wanted. my children took a shine to diego he was great the best, they also went to the mini club where they had lots of fun.
yes the place had teething problems but nothing that we let spoil our stay,we would definately return to this hotel as i think it will be amazing when its all finished

The entertainment was very much in your face if you didn't avoid it, so great for those who want to get involved but not for those who want quiet. And the music by the pool was so loud and very Turkish!
Beach was a bit hard to get to with pushchairs and totally inaccessable for wheelchair users as there were far too many steps. Kept us fit though, only put on a pound for a week all inclusive!
The hotel was good and it was a good holiday, few teething problems and we probably would have felt better if we have been kept informed of the progress (or not) of the air con situation. It reminded me of Majorca or Tenerife in the 1980s when I holidayed as a kid. Good hotel for families, not really a couples place.

Well dinner was ok, but prefered to eat in the snack bar which served chips, burgers, pizzas and chicken. But on a night time there was the restaurent which served fresh grilled stuff like chicken but sometimes this wasn't cooked. After the first week and got sick of the same food we decided to start eating out.
The entertainment was good but more for younger kids, apart from the pool games which was once a day at around 12:00 anybody could join in. There was 3 slides but after the first week one of them broke (yellow one) and was yet not to be fixed, they have a life guard making sure you go down safely also people were going down in rubber rings but this was no problen unless you were underneath the slides.
But over all i could say this holiday sort was exellent but they just need to get the food catering for more english than just turks! ****

Hotel Cleanliness :- All public areas were constantly being cleaned. The pool and restaurant toilets were cleaned several times each day. Our room had the towels and sheets changed every other day but there were only 3 sets of towels and there were 4 of us. The floor was a bit mucky by the end of the 2 weeks as I don't think it was cleaned that often. I had to put a couple of steralsing tablets down the drain in the bathroom because it was getting a bit whiffy.
ROOM - The rooms are outstanding, they are very big and quite homely. There is air con in both rooms and flat screen telly in the main room. We did have water coming in the patio doors when the gardens were watered but we told staff about this and it was sorted in 24 hours. The shower was also leaking but not enough for us to report it.
DRINKS - There is a very limited selection of alcoholic drinks. Beer, Wine, Vodka, Gin and Raiki (there may have been others but they weren't advertised) and if you wanted other drinks they were very expensive (Malibu and Coke 13 YTL!)
DIABETICS BEWARE - if you ask for a diet coke you don't always get it. We had a diabetic in our party and his sugars became very high on 2 occasions, there are no other sugar free drinks available.
FOOD - The food was OK, very samey and not very hot. There are still lots and lots of flies, but in a hot country i'm not that surprised. The food was recycled a lot, I could have had brocolli for breakfast or croissants for afternoon cakes! My husband is a vegetarian and there was very little for him to eat other than salad and pasta. On the Turkish night there was not one hot dish that didn't have meat in it. When we complained we were told by the chef it was Turkish and the Turkish don't have vegetarians, we were not offered anything else, so had to go out for a meal. The food is not labeled every day so it is difficult to know what you are eating. Contrary to what is advertised there is only 3 places to eat one is the main Panorma restaurant and the other is the snack bar that is open 1000-1700 (and the food tasted like it had been there for hours). They do have an a la Carte restaurant in the Panorama restaurant but from what we were told by people that had eaten there we didn't use it. Again there was no vegetarian food here or at the snackbar.
FACILITIES - The beach is lovely, there are lots of steps but it is much quieter than the pool. It has gravelly sand which is great for making sand castles. The hotel shop is very expensive, nearly double the price of the shop a few minutes from the complex. We didn't use any of the games rooms but they looked good and were well used.
The Wi Fi connection at the hotel very rarely worked whilst we were there.
POOL - The pool has a marble floor surrounding it and gets very very slippery when wet, children fell on a regular basis. The slides are good fun for the kids but are not that well made as you could feel the ridges as you went down, but the children loved them. There are loads of sunbeds which all have cushions, if you want one at the pool edge or by the baby pool you will need to get a towel out by 8.00 am.
Unfortunately the pool is believed to be responsible for a stomach infection that spread round the hotel whilst we were there. My 3 year old son ended up in Hospital on a drip for 5 hours because he kept being sick and could not even hold water down. We made friends with a few people and 8 out of 12 of us had either diorrhea or sickness. We were told by the local chemist that lots and lots of people had come to him from the hotel with the same problem and the hotel Dr said that it was either the pool or the food that was making peple ill.
LOCATION - The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the edge of Altinkum resort. Unfortunately sunwings don't have a welcome meeting so we had to find out about transport and local atractions ourselves.
HOTEL STAFF - The hotel staff were OK as long as you didn't have a problem. But apparently 7 staff quit in one day so that probably explains why, things obviously aren't that good for them.
ENTERTAINMENT - We only really saw the kids entertainmet which was exactly the same every night and my 5 and 3 yr old were bored of it by the end of the 2 weeks.
The hotel is not by any means 5 star. The rooms are a good 4 but everything else is a 3. The holiday was worth the money we paid but if rumours are true that the price will double next year it will not be worth it.
I believe this hotel needs to stop trying to do things on the cheap and it would be much much better. They are very guided by times, the ice cream que started about 10 minutes before it opened and you had to que for about 10 minutes to get an ice cream and if you were in the que and it got to 5 o clock they just closed the freezer and said no more ice cream.
