If you enjoy a relatively quiet holiday in a small resort, Bitez is for you.

Friendly banter from the front of house guys in the restaurants as opposed to the more aggresive approach you get in the larger resorts.

The whole area is kept clean and tidy and the food and service is excellent.

Best restaurant for service etc is the newly opened Golden Spoon.

People throughout the resort very friendly and love having a chat.

Ideal place for a relaxing break.

liked the resort. only small but quite pretty. the restaurants were mainly situated on the beach with just a few on the streets behind the beach. small selection of shops but it was no great hassle to hop on a dolmus into
gumbet or bodrum and they are very cheap

Bitez is a very clean, quiet resort most suited to families with young children or couples who dont want nightlife.

Entertainment consists mostly of Turkish nights offered by hotels or eating in restaurants, watching world go by. All restaurants offer a wide variety of food.

We highly recommend the Sultan, The Blue Moon and the Sirca for great Turkish food.

Beach is ok, all of the restaurants provide free sunbeds, but this does mean that there are hundreds of beds so not a lot of space for kids to play.

Turkish people are very family orientated and great with the kids, who love all the attention!Excursions, boat trips very cheap, altogether a great place for a holiday.

Bitez is a smallish resort, consisting in the main of a strip of restaurants/ bars bordering a narrow gritty beach.

There are of course restaurants etc in the few back streets, and a small market selling tourist items. There are a few small general shps selling basic needs but no supermarket.

There are the usual watersports on offera long the beach area, incliding the usual shops selling trips etc. Non of these were unduly persistent.

The resort is basically clean and well serviced, and has a low key ambience, which I would hazard is more suited to the middle aged couple or young families rather than young couples seeking night life.

It is really easy to travel locally in this area, using the Dolmus services and Taxis are available and reasonably priced for trips to Bodrum and Gumbet (but the dolmus is cheaper and more fun!)

We never saw anyone cleaning the beach , but there must have been someone doing it as the beach was always clean, ditto the paved areas.Eating out is a pleasure as there are numerous very good restaurants to choose from.

Prices are moderate, but the days of Turkey being cheap have gone. e.g. a three course meal with wine and coffee generally cost us around 60/70 ytl( £25/30).It is of course possible to eat cheaper than this. Beer ranged from 2.5ytl--4.5ytl, the cheaper pricesd being found in the small "lokantas" to the rear of the village.

In general, Bitez is a very laid back resort. Quiet , but near to Bodrum etc if you want night life etc.

Bitez is my idea of heaven - good beach (not that I use it, but it is lovely to walk along in the morning), some great walks along the coast or into the village, near to Bodrum for shopping and nightlife, and my favourite bit - more restaurants than you could eat in if you stayed for a month!!

No clubs, no hooligans and I don't even mind the little bit of hassle from the 'draggers in' outside the restaurants....and if you are that way inclined, every football match you could want to watch on big screen - not my thing, but we did see the last Test Match at the First Stop restaurant and the atmosphere was as good as you would get at home.

Loads of trips to take - boats, jeeps, horse riding, etc. etc. etc. In fact, I can't wait to get back.

Great resort for a relaxing holiday. Not one for teenagers wanting to disco all night
If the beach had been soft white sand, it would have been like being in the caribbean. The cushions and hamocks on the beach in front of various restaurants and hotels gave you that feeling.
For us, it was the perfect place to go.
Please don't let it change.

If you go out in Bitez it is a beutiful coastal village. All of the restarants serve excellent food (if not a bit pricey). A three coarse meal for two, with a bottle of house wine will more often than not cost you approx £40.00! The top restaurant has got to be the Seashell closly followed by the Istanbul. The house wine in the seashell is excellent and cost a (cheap for bitez) about £7. The istanbul restaurant serves the 'istanbul coffee'. This is pricey (£7) but amazing. The waiter performs a 'fire ritual' to perpare it and it tastes delish! The staff are excellent and couterous. The worst has to the First stop restaurant. Or as we called it, the 'Macy-de' of bitez. Vastly overprised and the served with undue vigur to get another table clear in the restaurant.
Bitez is a beutiful resort, it has a real chill out feel to it.
A really good piece of advice is to not take turkish lire with you. Take the large amount in english pounds. The prices the tours and (most) retaurants quote you are for english pounds. The staff then convert it by some outragious conversion price on their calculators and charge you an inflated price in turkish lire!
The boat trips are really worth the £6 each. But take a drink with you, or you will pay £3 for a beer!
Day trips will always include a trip to either a gold workshop or a carpet warehouse. Both of which will give you the 'hard sell' when all you want to do is go the trip you paid to see! The worst was a three hour visit to a carpet warhouse on the way back from the two day tour of epheous and the 'cotton castle'. This was outragious, considering you had the same time in epheous in the morning! The booking guilds will never tell you this surprisingly when you book the tours!
The beach does not have sand, but 'grit'! However, the sea is beutifully clear. A top tip is to follow the cost path past the harbour and you can sit deserted beaches away from the crowds.
This may seem like a huge moan for the resort, however, it is not! This is a 'worts and all' tall, the type you will not read in any guide book!! Daylan is the best trip to go on and worth the money. The best comment of the holiday i heard (whilst on the trip to epheous was from a rich looking american male after purchased some jewelry on an inforsed stop when asked by one of the fellow trippers if he was rich, he replied, "I thought i was untill i came to turkey!" This comment best evidenced by having to pay £3.50 for a small max pax coffee in the airport!Turkey is an expensive place and i feel it is letting itself down. Through greedy shopkeepers and tour guides it is tarnishing the memory of holidaymakers and ensure that they will not return, unless they can remorgage their houses to pay for a round of drinks!

Bitez is a small resort near to Bodrum. Its ideal for people who want to relax and have a quiet holiday. It is not really a place for children because there is little for them to do.

There are lots of restaurants along the seafront who do hassle you as you pass by to eat there but that's Turkey! There are watersports available and boat trips which are well worth going on.

The beach is quite shingly but the water is lovely.

We would definitely visit there again.
