Bitez is described in the brochures as a quiet resort and compared to neighbouring Gumbet and Bodrum it is. Altho there are no discos, clubs, noisy bars etc the resort became very busy in August. The beach is covered from end to end in sunbeds, all packed in like sardines, not a square inch of sand left for kids to play on so if you have young children who like to build sandcastles or if you like a bit of personal space this is not the place for you. Great restaurants and food, incredibly friendly people, excellent boat trips made up for it tho.

The resort we stayed in was called Bitez. It has a supurb beach just down the road from the apartments, with everything you need from sunbeds and hammocks to even double beds and beanbags on the beach!
Also a great watersports hut with lots of different things to do such as parisaling, banana boat, flying fish and much much more.
Everyone around the resort area are very very nice. Always wanting to help! Bitez also has a great number of restraunts a short walk away and many places to visit at night.
A quick dolmus journey takes you into bodrum were you can enjoy the more liveley spots of bartering at the local market, or even visiting the great AQUA PARK DEDEMAN -A great day out for everyone.
Overall the resort is very clean and the beach standard is very pleasing.

Nothing much to do except eat and drink really.
The beach appears to belong to the adjacent hotels and your are expected to drink from their bars to use the umbrellas etc.
We were very disappointed with the food - we joked that you would be more likely to get a Doner Kebab in Leeds than in Turkey - not all English people want bacon, sausage and chips - where was all the authentic Turkish Food? you also need to be prepared for all the hassle you get from the waiters trying to drag you in to their restaurants - this is a real pain and does not make for a pleasant stroll along the front - eventually we gave up and ate at the Sirca - the food was no worse their and at least we didn't get the hassle.
Beware also of all the hidden extras - you are expected to tip for everything - you even have to pay for luggage trollies at the airport.
We also witnessed people being abused in the markets if they refused to buy from shops.
Overall, a much looked forward to holiday was a massive disappointment, with the exception of the weather (fantastic) and the Turkish Bath (wonderful).

We found Bitez on the whole to be clean and although the beach wasn't the best I've seen (it was a bit gritty/stoney) some parts were raked and the sunbeds were free.
The entertainments were centred around the hotels really which was fine as you were welcome in all of them our hotel(Manuela) had a magician. Irish night, belly dancer, break dancers that type of stuff.
Plenty of boat trips and water sports there too.
There were also tons of restaurants selling everything you could possibly want to eat.
Bitez was totally relaxing for us but because Bodrum and Gumbet are so close by you can have the best of both worlds if you go in a party that want to do different things.
We can't wait to go back again and considering we'd never even been to Turkey before that can't be bad!

Bitez is a great location, not much to see or do, but excellent for a lazy day (excepting the music from bars as described earlier).
Gumbet & Bodrum with their nightlife and shops are only 5 -10 mins away by bus.
Would I visit Bitez again? yes I would but it's begining to loose sight of the reason why people choose to go there by becoming to noisy.
Next year I'm going to try Yalikavak about 20Km from Bodrum with a good selection of Bars etc, but probably what Bitez was 10 years ago in terms of being able to relax in a quiet surroundings on the beach.

The resort had everything and catered for everyone. It was big enough to spend a few hours wandering around, and its the first resort we have been where you dont feel presurised. If you say no ,they just wish you well and hope you enjoy your evening,
The locals made you feel welcome, and our 10 year old daughter loved every minute of it. We made some good true friends during our stay, we give the whole area 100% all round

Bitez is lovely and peaceful. It is full of resturants and has quite a few shops. If you are looking for somewhere a bit more lively then Bodrum and Gumbet are a short taxi ride away.
Bitez beaches are so clean all through the day, although it was a bit fresh!!!
I would certainly recommend the resort and the hotel, it was the best holiday ever, and we will be returning next year.

The resort was clean and tidy. Entertainment to be had everywhere for everyone. The beach was small but still fabulopus. The boat trips are highly recommended. The retaurants are great...The Yelken was out of this world. great steaks, fajitas pizzas everything. Could not fault one thing.

Bitez is fab... on the harbour front it is lined with delicious restaurants to many to choose from. Infront of them are huge cushions all colours, piled together and everyone just chills out day and night, a very relaxing sight, there are a few shops but if your looking for more a short dolmus ride to Bodrum takes 15mins.
The beach isn't up to much but the cushions make up for it!!
Can't wait to come back next year.

Bitez is a small compact resort, it boasts a very clean beach & has a good selection of restaurants alongside.
There is also a shopping area offering you a wide choice of gifts and clothing.
Plenty of boat trips are on offer & are all very reasonable
If you want a peaceful & relaxing holiday without all the noisy bars and night clubs... This is right up your street.
