Yes I would visit the resort again, just not the filthy dirty La Luna, maybe it's called that because you would have to be a lunatic to go there!!

We stayed september/October 07 and we loved this apartment so much. The cleanliness was First Class. The cleaners were fabulous and you always felt very comfortable and welcome as the staff were very friendly. I didnt eat in the restaurant but my family did once or twice and they loved it. The entertainment was great for all ages from karaoke to snake charmers, BBQ'S and dancers. Ther was three pools all very clean and not too crowded and also a computer room with iternet which charge but at very low cost. Beach was not really up to much as it was very pebbly instead of sand. but there is an outdoor gym along beachside along with go-karts. On the premises you have turkish mud baths and hairdressers ect and gumbet town and Bodrum was near by but would need to take a bus or taxi. The saturday market is worth going to as its even cheaper than the shops even though the shops are extremely cheap. In gumbet or Bodrum its better to book day trips such as boat trips, market and swimming with dolphins than booking with the reps. I would definately recommend the boat trip as you get to go to several places such as caves, camel beaches and swimming in the sea. This holiday was the best ever for me (14) and chloe(13) as the turks loved us:D I recommend this holiday to people of all ages!!!! its the best!!! P.S try out the turkish mud bath; Its devine!!!!!

We loved Gumbet, the resort was very clean and the people very friendly, they did not hassle you into buying goods from their shops or eat in their restaurants like they do in other Turkish resorts. The entertainment was good especially Murphy's Bar where there was an organ and guitar duo playing different songs every night and in the second half joined by a female singer.The Beach was wonderful, and cleaned every night. We would certainly go back to this resort.

gumbet is a very liverly resort i loved it of a night lots of places to eat and drink .the beach was a little to stonie for me .very hard to get into the beach without shoes on or dont bother the beach front is full of bars and places to eat good fun and lots of places to chill out out of the sun .some loverly places to eat .tempo bar well they were loverly to us free drinks and such a loverly meal we went twice to there we loved it .the minstel on the beach front was good to very good steaks all the bars do english breakie for just one pound and good too. really good place to have fun there or just chill out love gumbet x

The resort is suitable all age groups plenty of shops, restaurants and lots to do during the day on the beach, nearly all the hotels on the beach have watersports and boat trips daily. If you go to Turkey you must do the boat trip best value for money. Gumbet is only 10mins from Bodrum were there is streets of shops and restaurants all overlooking Bodrum Castle really lovely in the evening. Also you can walk to Bitez beach which is beautiful a lovely little bay nice to walk if it's not to warm. but really if you stay in Asarlik you really do no need to leave the hotel complex.

Because we didnt like our apartment, we used the beach daily and liked the atmosphere. Comfortable, free sunbeds attached to whichever bar suited you better.
We just chose the wrong resort, didnt suit us one bit.
It felt very run down to me. Perhaps scruffy is the word I'm looking for

I have marked the beach at 4 because although it was sandy there were large boulders on entry to the water. We looked the full length of the beach but it was all the same. Nevertheless we not let this detract from our wonderful holiday. A lot of the restaurants on the beach serve wonderful food but We would like to recommend the Mistral and the Windy Bay at the southern end of the beach. There are plenty of good places to eat in the village as well. The Parrot,and the Columbian we do also recommend, especially the Columbian. One great holiday. Cannot wait till next September to get back. Dave Morrison
