Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

The resort was very clean - plenty of sun beds - clean beach they roll the sand every night to flatten it.
The food could not be faulted everything we ordered was very good and at a reasonable price. This must be one of the nicest resorts in Turkey.
The entertainment was amusing to say the least, they like to keep you in their bar once they get you in - but you do get entertained.
Visit the local market if you want some bargains - the leather and gold shops are not to be missed but you need to haggle for a good price. Do not accept the first price.
The resort itself is in a lovely setting with a mountain backdrop

Icmeler really is a great little place. It has most things you need to have a great active holiday but is quiet enough for a relaxing holiday also. Lots to do and see and is only ten minutes away from the busier resort of Marmaris.

the resort is near perfect, appart from the hassle you get from every restaurant, beach boy, supermarket, shoe cleaner, everything. these peoplr have got to realise we dont want to be stopped to look at a menu on every corner, we dont like it, if we want to eat there, we will!!! the hassle puts people off, this spoils an otherwise perfect holiday resort. please stop this before its too late.

Icmeler is beautiful. Amazing views from the beach front - can't be beaten. Loads of places to eat & drink within small area. Special mention has to go to Coco Beach cafe - their energy & friendliness kept us going back time & time again. Also Bamboo bar - don't expect them to forget your name. Friends for life!
Plenty of haggling to do at the market by the canal - be prepared for the hassle that goes with it though!

Icmeler is a beautiful place to be. There are plenty of restaurants and bars. The food and drink is cheap but not lacking quality. You can tuck into a fillet steak for £6.
The beach is kept clean and tidy although I personally am not keen on the gravel type sand. However the sea is beautifully clear and swimming safe.
I would love to come back to Iclemer but not when it is quite so hot. I was expecting tempatures of 26 - 30 for the end of June however it was more like 39 - 44.

We found the Resort clean and tidy with no rubbish anywhere.
the entertainment in icmeler is varied with something to cater for everyone, even a couple of night clubs that we found!
The beach was okay but just so full of sunbeds you really had no choice but to hire one with no room to just throw your towel down and paddle or swim!
Icmeler was nice but found it more expensive than Marmaris and got loads more hassle from the reastaraunts even when you said no!
we viseted oscars pop in fun pub that we went to eat in and was treated so rudely and served so bad that we had to leave and nearly ended in a punch up lol

Icmeler resort is OK but a bit ragged round the edges.
Beach is mostly sharp dark shingle & shelves rapidly into a deep very clear, clean but relatively cold sea.
Always plenty going on in terms of after meal shows etc, only one nightclub.

The resort of Icmeler is very picturesque. The bay is surrounded by a mountainous backdrop. The beaches are totally covered by sunbeds and wicker parasols. They are very cheap to hire (about 80p for 2 a day). However it didn't leave much room for anyone wishing to take a stroll along the beach!
Hundreds of places to eat and drink, with very extensive menus. We didn't have one bad meal on our entire stay. Prices very reasonable...much cheaper than Spain! People very friendly. On our first day we were hassled by restaurants touting for business, but it appears that the local tourist board are doing their best to stamp this out, as huge banners and posters were being put up saying"No Hassle". Definite improvement during the rest of the week!
All in all a fantastic holiday and I am already lookming forward to returning in the near future!
