Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Iclemer is a fantastic place. We have visited other places in Turkey but this resort knocks them all into a cocked hat.Everywhere is so clean,it is flat,no hills to climb,the beach is a blue flag beach and spotless.The standard in all the restaurants is second to none.The locals are fantastic, so friendly and obliging.You can find entertainment anywhere at night.This was our first visit but it will definitely not be our last.

icmeler is such a clean tidy and freindly area, you can walk around withouy being hassled to much, if you say no they leave you alone and you can shop at your own time and space.
the beach is nice again clean and tidy, lots of activties to do, watersports, boat trips and lots more.
cant wait to return.

Icmeler is a fantastic place to visit as it caters for all types of travellers there are plenty of bars and restaurants, the beach is very clean, lots of organised day trips etc.

Beach was covered with cigarette ends during the day, though I do think that the beach is somehow cleaned in the evening.
The majority of bars have very loud music playing, with little entertainment for the more discerning traveller. Great if you like noise.

What can I say about Icmeler - the best place I have ever stayed and will certainly be visiting again next year.
The restaurants are wonderful! Didn't have a bad meal but the best was certainly at the 'old famous' all I can say is I wish it was located back in Nottingham! Can I also recommend the Wonderboys! A must to visit when in Icmeler! They provide evening entertainment as we found out as well as serving food all day and night! Our first visit was an experience as we entered the nightly competition of 'open the box?' and won!!! Basically our number was selected for first prize where you can choose to take the smaller amount of money which is offered (after much bartering) and hilarious banter and fun!!(lol took me a day to get over it!) Or you can choose to open the box and win around £100 - well after much debating we took the lesser amount (around £30) which paid for ours and friends drinks bill! We also ate there on our last day we only had 20 million left so the 'boys' looked after us - free starter, I had a wonderful omlette and they gave us free fruit for 16 million! they also promised to find us accomodation for next year if so desired!
As I said loads of restaurants who kind of 'hassle' you but all in good fun - they all have the same line - 'either 'hello sexy couple' or 'hello lovely couple' - if you want to avoid this either walk in the middle of the road or find the back street route to where you want to go!
Loads of excursions available - don't book through reps but book through the locals at the beech - Much cheeper!! we booked the 5 stop boat trip which took left Icmeler at 10.00am and arrived back at 5.00pm food included which cost us £7 each bargain!
We had a lazy holiday so we didn't really do much apart from sit on the beach for 2 million each for a sunbed all day and the charming men even fetch you drinks and food etc.
We hired a pedlo for an hour costing 10million enjoyed this lol Chris peddled whilst I sunbathed! as it should be!
Shopping is excellent - tried to experience the Wednesday market in Icmeler but didn't like all the hassle - one man grabbed me and started spraying aftersun spray all over my body including up my skirt (and I only wanted a bag!) after this decided to leg it and discovered Denis' shop who sells wonderful copies of bags - I brought a CD and DG bags for 37million! and they were very good copies! Also brought 2 pairs of CD sunglasses for £12 on this note I would recommend visiting the market by the beach (along the canal) as you don't get hassled and can stop off for a drink!
Jewellery shops - AMAZING - we visited a few but my absolute favorite was FIRUZE (which has been recommended by HT members before me). We had great personal sevice from Sona and Murat. We were invited in to look at the jewellery, I was looking for a Blue Topaz ring - so we sat in the lovely air conditioned shop and had a glass of wine (or 2) lol. and after much chat about Icmeler - we were put under no pressure at all to buy! - I decided on a ring. We had no money that night but it wasn't a problem - they were very trusting and put it away for us until the next day. By the next day we had ran out of money (as it was Sunday) so Murat was so kind he changed us some money to keep us going through the evening (TOP MAN!!). We also chatted to Sona and Murat about a DIY holiday next year so Murat offered to take us to many Appartments in Icmeler to help us decide were to stay. This we did and after some apple tea served to us by Sona we drove off of course it helped that Murat was Turkish and got load of info for us - I can't believe the friendliness and genuinness of this family - If you want any jewellery please visit FIRUZE - I am going back next year to pick up my matching braclet. (wouldn't go anywhere else)!

Money - I wont be taking travellers cheques next year, too much hassle I would recommend cash as most places accept Sterling as well as Lira

there was a very good standard of cleanliness with someone somewhere always cleaning. the entertainment was brilliant at the resort center. our ages ranged between 25 and 45 and there was something for everyone. our favourites were the majestic boys who had a good dance show and some very nice waiters the atmosphere was very friendly and we made friends very easily here. another good one was venice here there was dancing on the bar a michael jackson show and very friendly staff. but whichever bar we chose we had a very warm welcome. the beach was clean and not overly crowded there are plenty of places to book boat trips etc.which are very good value a whole day out for £7 and that includes lunch. i will certainly be going again

Icmeler it's self is lovely and everyone is really friendly there are lots of bars and resteraunts which will cater for everyones tastes if you need a watch or fancy some jewellery you will be spoilt for choice as there are lots of these shops there are also lots of hairdressers if you fancy getting your hair done.
The beach is simply stunning we loved it,the kids played in the sea which is safe and clear and is lovely to swim in. The sand does tend to get very warm so you might want to keep your shoes on when you walk on it but it is very beatiful soft sand with no stone and you could walk for miles along it.
marmaris is just a short while away on the dolmus which was good we went into marmaris on two occasions
over all wa had an easygoing fun and relaxing holiday which we would strongly recomened to anyone

the resort was spotlessly clean and there was plenty of entertainment for all ages, infact you were spoilt for choice.
the beach was nice and clean but was disapointed as it was a gravel beach.
I would go back to this resort as it is one of the best i have ever visited

Icmeler was clean and well maintained, the dolmus and tractor train provided excellent transport.
Bars and restaurants are plentyful and of a good standard,we did not have a bad meal throughout the fortnight.Prices throughout the resort were much the same although quality did vary a little.
I personally find the beach at Icmeler a little dissappointing,it's quite shingly and the water seems a little cloudy at times.but the scenery in the resort is just wonderful, my wife thinks it second only to Kas where she thought it unbeatable.
The resort has sprawled a bit in the 3 years since my last visit but it seems to have done so without losing too much of its charm, so well done to the Mayor and all responsible for this.
Here endeth the lesson!LOL!

Icmeler is a very nice place to be. We met nice Turkeys people and we have seen a few nice spots. The beach is a little crowded and the sand a bit dirty in my appinion. I would go back to see more of the old village of Icmeler.
