Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Icmeler is beautiful resort with lots of things to do for the whole family.
The locals are very friendly and would do anything for you.
The quality of restaurants is excellent never had a bad meal anywhere.

Icmeler is a lovely clean resort and has a lot of first class restaurants. The staff in most of them make the time to get to know you and always seem to remember you when you go back.
It has a nice friendly atmosphere and each place has its own entertainment provided by the waiting staff. You can also find nice quiet places to eat if you want.
I have never had any complaints with any of the places we visited. This is why we keep going back!
The beach is good and their are loads of great boat trips with great barbeques and stunning views.
Shopping is fun and be prepared to haggle for the best bargains.
A visit to the market is a must, but it can get very hot!

Nothing to add that hasn't already been said.......... fantastic holiday resort for families, lively but not wild and very very friendly.
What can I say, we're going back for a 3rd year running and enjoy it so much we are reeeeally reluctant to try anywhere else in Turkey. Friends have been going there for 15 years and we can't thank them enough for introducing it to us.

What a toilet! OK perhaps it's me but it was like a mini Great Yarmouth without the class.
The good points? Well it does have a well maintained beach where, if your prepared to haggle you can get a good price for the boatrips round the bays. Not much litter and the weather was great.
As a resort then if shops selling fake tat, bars and restaurants that hassle you for trade nearly as much as the shop owners and "cheep as chips" and " Luvvly Jubbly" are your thing then it's the place for you. If you want the slightest hint of culture or an insight into local life or history then forget it. It's the Basildon of Turkey with it's neighbour Marmaris like a nightmare. Horrible, just horrible. Oh and the earthquakes. I thought it might be a hangover but the booze was that weak that you would have drowned before getting drunk. 6 tremors in two days left me feeling just a wee bit giddy.
The final word must be the airport. What a nightmare. It had about half a dozen flights going out in an hour and it just could not cope. We were queuing for an hour outside the terminal and about 3/4 just to check in. It was chaos.
Never again.

We stayed in Icmeler which is a lot quieter than Marmaris.
There are plenty of bars to visit the best one is No Names with Jai and all the boys.
There are lots and lots of shops with lot and lots to buy.
We go to the free beach right at the very end if you need a drink the boys will bring it to you also you can go in to the bar to eat. The beaches a very clean with lots of sunbeds and also lots of water sports to do.
If you want to look around Icmeler you can get on the tractor for about 50p and go for a tour.
We will never go anywhere else.

Have booked to go to Turkey twice this year but because I have children, felt Marmaris better. Icemeler better for couples and people who like slower pace. Great food, £ goes a long way because not in the euro. Main bug bear, the airport at Dalaman is not geared up for tourist as an ex military airport.

I have been to Icmeler many times and found it to be clean and friendly.
The entertainment on a night is good.
You have markets at the canal that are open late every night.
The food we found to be good and the drinks cheap.
We are always treated as an individual and we have made many friends.

Icmeler is beautiful. The beach is lovely and there are always plenty of things to do.
The nightlife is great especially the little stalls by the river. The only thing that could possibly be better is if the waiters didn't hassle you to come to their restaurants.
All in All it was a really great atmosphere in Icmeler and was a great experience.
I would definitely stay there again.
