Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

This is a very nice resort, lively and welcoming, with many shops, bars and restaurants.

the resort is really pretty with a canal running through it with bars and restaurants running down both sides.beach is nice but a bit stoney all the bars do dancing and are really friendly people appart from being hassled now and again

Icmeler was lovely although if you went down towards the beach early you were asked if you wanted a sunbed every 20m or so but always politely and we didnt have any hassle.
The boat trip to turtle beach is a MUST! But top tip book through the agents on the beachfont NOT in the hotel as its much much cheaper. Scuba diving through thomas cook £49 same trip on the same boat booked on the beach front was £18
4x4 Jeep safari well worth doing £10 adults £5 kids as was the parsailing £15
We'll DEFINATELY be going back next year
Also visited Marmaris waterpark called Atlantis they'll come and pick you up from your hotel for free BUT when it comes to taking you back the bus has mysteriously "dissappeared" so we ended up gettin a taxi back to Icmeler.

If you get the chance to go to Icmeler you will go back every year as often as possible.
It is the quiter sister of Marmaris, upmarket, fantastic people, bars and restaurants. You are absolutely spoilt for choice. Even if you ate out five times a day you could be in a different bar or restaurant everyday over a two or even three week period.
You can get a full english brekkie for a pound, buy gold and leather less than half price, buy fake everything of not bad quality as well as the real stuff at a fraction of the costs back home. My best advice is take an empty suitcase!!! You will definately fill it up before you get home. 200 ciggies for a tenner!!
The scenery is breathtaking, the people great and the atmosphere relaxed.
We cannot wait to go back to Turkey. It was our first time (having done the Spain thing), we do not want to go to Spain anymore (even though we have property there), Turkey is the place to be. It is a massive country, so do not be swayed by all the TV reports of troubles out there. They are many thousands of miles away from the resorts.

The resort is suitable for people who dont want it too mad, the music is all stopped at 12 and the police are patrolling around the town closing bars who make too much noise or stray out onto the street. There is not much for small children unless you book into one of the hotels which offer entertainment.

This resort had a good supermarket, a great choice of restaurants and was generally clean.

Ichmeler clean fragrant and very relaxing and pretty. Plenty to do on an evening but not sure if you are looking for foam parties!
Beach clean and beach boys very helpfull 80p all day for a bed and service on beach from teas to beers to lunch and snacks etc -- all brought to yoyu if you so wished. No pestering. Very relaxing. Water sports alsO available.Not the place for sandpies - mainly pebbles -- need the flip flops.
Would go again with my flip flops

go to icmeler about 4 times a years to see old friends but this year the in bar has to be the lion bar you have to go there one and you will be there in few times when you are holiday, as well as dream boys love you all both have 5* food and very good entertainment.
i love the resort on a whole the people how clean it is and less husel than marmaris all the music is down at 12 o'clock (sometimes when the ploice arent looking), and you can walk somewhere on your own and still feel safe dosent matter where you go you will always know someone.
