Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Icmeler is quieter than Marmaris, which we liked. There is also a small water park which was not open when we were there but apparently was going to open any day (I think they were still working on it).
Don't really have much to say about the resort, other than I probably wouldn't go back. Don't ask me why - I can't put my finger on it!

a lovely resort,nice friendly people, make you feel really welcome.prices are reasonable,in some resteraunts the waiters put on a show. would recommend icmeler to anyone.the food is delicious no matter were you eat.

If you are looking for a lively holiday then Icmeler is not the resort for you. Icmeler is a peaceful relaxing resort about 5k from the lively Marmaris. It is very clean and has a good, but sometimes crowded beach area.
The resort entertaiment ranges from quite bars and bistros like the Magic Garden, to more lively bars like the Sport In Bar which is part of the Devamli Hotel. There is an outstanding range of cafe bars and restaurants in the resort. Some of the best are, The Love Boat, The Famous Kitchen, The Waterfall and the Golden Moon.
We have been visiting Icmeler for 5 years now and have some very good friends here. We will be continuing to visit for the forseeable future.
If you want to go on the usual boat trips and tours, go to Insu Tours and ask for Umit, he will look after you.

The Turkish people took pride in the cleanliness of their properties and many a time we had to dodge jets of water as they cleaned down their shop and restaurant fronts. To visit all the restaurants you would need to be there a couple of months but during our stay we found the following great value.
For entertainment and great food you have got to go to Venice, Famous Old Kitchen and the Lion Bar
For a quiet atmosphere and good service and mouth watering food it's got to be the Lighthouse.
On our last day we stopped for breakfast at Antik. This was the best breakfast we have ever had in Ichmeler and were so impressed with the food and the friendliness of the staff we went back for our last evening meal. The restaurant is very spacious and during the evening play pleasant background music. We both ordered steaks and they were so well cooked that they just fell apart. This is ideal for British people as the staff leave you to enjoy your food but are close at hand for anything you might want.
We spent many days on the beach where it was clean and well looked after. Service on the beach was excellent whether you wanted water, drinks or food, somebody was there to take your order and deliver it to you at your sunbeds.
We have booked to return in September. Once you stay here you will not want to go anywhere else.

I have been visiting Icmeler for ten years it has never failed to impress me restaurants are very good and value for money as are jewellers and fruit really is fresh

if you have ever thought about a perfect holiday destination this is it.the people are incredible. they remembered us from last may can you believe that. there is the usual hassle but they have to make a living .we had a walk to the local tansas(supermarket)we stopped at five bars before getting back to the hotel and chatted to everyone in there, it took us 3 hours to buy 2 bottles of water and 4 pringles what can you say

the resort is very nice and relaxing not a very busy place yet lively, the village where I stayed is very quiet and unique in some ways, still has some authentic houses in the village plus 3 barber shops typically Turkish

I've been visiting Icmeler since 1991 so you can imagine I'm fond of the place. It's like a home from home where you just feel so comfortable and safe. Plenty to do and it offers in my view something for everyone. In all the times I've been there I've only ever had 1 bad meal and the fun you have in the bars and restaurants ensures I never go half board of AI.
Visit it once and I'm sure you will return - you won't be disappointed. I've been to other places in Turkey but still end up going back there.
