Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

This resort is very small compared to Marmaris but I prefer it and there is lots of entertainment around the resort with loads of brilliant restaurants.
The staff are so friendly. One woman who works at the chinese restaurant even gave us a lift back to the hotel.

Icmeler is a very pretty resort. It has a great beach and lovely promenade dotted with flowers and small trees.
There is an abundance of quality restaurants and cafes.
Make sure you have space in your suitcase for all the things you will buy.
Clothes, hanbags, carpets, rugs, kilim cushions etc, etc.at a fraction of the cost at home.
Jewellery, gold, diamonds and watches are very good value indeed.
There is an abundance of "atmosphere and friedliness".
The Turkish people are fantastic, they really make your holiday and they remember you when you go again like long lost friends!!!
Be sure to go on a boat trip, its an unforgettable experience. You can swim from the boat in turqoise waters in secluded bays.
A trip from Marmaris to Rhodes is another great day out.
There is so much to do and see you will be spoilt for choice.

Restaurants:
We stayed in a couple of nights as the youngsters were shattered and ordered in, try the local Turkish pizza from the Paradise £4 served 8 of us. Or go and eat there, Main course for 8 Adults 6 Kids, Plus two alcohol free drinks each (No Alcohol served), plus a free pudding (A special cake) came to £56.
Moonlight restaurant was excellent, we went twice, the second time ordering there leg of Lamb (24hrs notice required), it just fell of the bone, wonderful.
Vandikka (Venice) by the canal was excellent, and the kids play area for toddlers was a godsend, again they got our business twice.
The three bells (Or is it four) got a visit, the first time I ever tried Korean food, I will definitely go back there again. The others I could mention but I think I have mentioned the best.
Richards Place, the food was greasy, the service took ages, (felt like you were being kept there to drink) and the toilet kept breaking down and not flushing, we tried them once for breakfast a couple of days later just in case it had changed but it was the same service and the toilet was still broken, however saying that the staff were very friendly.
Beach:
Plenty of sun beds for rent at 1500000L per day although get down early before 10:00 for the best specs. Water sports were cheap, ringo’s £4 each, water skiing £8 with lesson, Billy was fantastic, he can be found by turning right at the main pier.
Trips:
We only went on one boar trip to the Mud baths and Turtle Bay, very enjoyable, left at 09:30 returned at 19:30, £10 each adult, kids half price under 7’s free, this included lunch. It would have been nice to stay longer at the mud baths but a great day out, don’t forget to take the mosi spray for the trip through the reeds to the mud baths, and that all important sun protection while on the boat. Marmaris, went for the water parks by boat taxi, they were fun, £18 for the day for the four of us, my 9 year old went down one slide 38 times so she got her monies worth, otherwise I wouldn’t personally bother with Marmaris, too overbuilt for my tastes.

The resort is a small place that caters for all ages, has a excellent choice of eaterys and is both clean and neat and tidy everywhere. It has an excellent market up by the hospital which I had to visit and is indeed very clean and hygenic.

The Resort was so nice. The night life was reasonable not too quiet not too loud just nice. If you wanted a busier night life Marmaris is just down the road on the Dolmush which is only about 50p (great)! The shops are good cheap nice clothes everywhere. The food in the restaurants is really good. English, Turkish, French etc. You have to try the cheese rolls, mu favourite. A really nice CHEAP place to go for your holiday.

The resort has plently to do but is less lively than it's neightbour Marmaris. Everyone is friendly, offering cups of apple tea wherever you go - even the local mosque which we found most interesting. There is a market on Wednesdays with clothing so cheap you could almost travel with an empty suitcase and buy when you get there. Local trips include 5 Bays Boat Trip, Jeep Safari, Mopeds etc (all available locally - very cheap) The sand is black but well kept and clean - highly recomended

Icmeler is a beautiful place, spotlessly clean and very friendly people, don't book with your tour company for trips, shop around as there is some good companies who give you a much better deal.
Beach was busy but very clean. The walk past the canal is lovely and great when the market is on. There is also an undercover market once a week, very, very hot but fantastic bargains and don't forget to haggle for everything!

Icmeler is a resort that is spotlessly clean and all the roads are pot hole free as they are block paved.
There is something to do in Icmeler for all ages from lounging on the beach and swimming in the crystal clear sea to relaxing in quiet bars or whooping it up in a disco.
The beach is made up of a mixture of fine grit and sand and is spotlessly clean and gets very busy in the summer months so it is best to get there early for the beds which are normally 2 million lira a day.
