Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

We have been to Icmeler five times and always enjoy ourselves very much our favourite places to go are the prince karaoke bar,venice on the canal,oscars,The Stella show,the wonder boys,the wayside restaurant,bonjour restaurant

Booked with ICR for first time this year. When we arrived at Dalaman no Rep etc no rep in the morning, even though we have been icmeler for 10 years it was my daughters first trip no rep visit to inform us of excersions attractions etc. We originally booked with the Diva hotel only to be told that they had overbooked and the Diva was overbooked and they could now offer us the Ustan apartments we had to accept as the booking had all gone through. We were given an apartment that was on ground floor facing the bar and where everybody went for the breakfast in the morning hence we could not go on the balcony felt like two goldfish in a goldfish bowl so had to sit in our dingy room and we mean dingy. We were woke up every morning at 7.15 but the turkish family that owned the apartments swilling down the place and getting ready for the day, making their breakfast and then sitting round their table all eating their breakfast and talking really loud, no choice really for us just get up and sit in the dingy room and think where to go for breakfast, my daughter had a separate room and her room was also ground floor at the pool and she also felt she could not go on the balcony in private, i dont know about you but in the morning after a night out in icmeler i like to have a few coffee's and a few fags to bring myself round but not a chance in these apartments just could not sit on our balcony. In the afternoon my husband usually likes to have a few beers and then have a nap before we get ready and go out in the evening guess what no chance!!! the turkish family then we there having thier tea all sitting around the table outside our room chatting and watching the televison that was also really loud. We tried to make the best of our holiday by going to all the usual best bars in the evening etc. On our departure day we were charged 15 pounds by the owner to have one of our rooms for 6 hours until we were picked up by ICR. I cannot tell you how bad our transfer was !!!!!!! the drive picked us up on time but then he had to go to marmaris to pick up other people, he did not know where he had to pick them up and we just kept on going around in circles all around marmaris he kept making numerous phone calls to people but we just kept on going around and around in circles, in the end he had to ask a few taxi drivers where the particular apartments were where he had to pick up his customers. eventually after about 30-40 minutes he found it and picked up another 6 people after that we had the most frightening experience of our lives, 10 people sitting in the mini bus were drove to dalaman airport at a speed of about 100 mph with the driver having a few near misses with other traffic we were all terrified you can understand he was trying to make up time but we all felt scared for our lives.
Would we book with ICR again no chance!!!!!!. We know this review will be taken of this website but we will make sure that it will be be on other holiday review sites. It was a total disgrace.

The beach is a fine shingle, it is quite big and clean and the water is very clear and warm especially in the afternoon, two sun beds with an umbrella is £2 per day, the beach is only 50 yds away from the Hotel so is very convenient.
Do not book any trips with the reps as you can book these on the walkway adjacent to the beach, you must go on the 5 bays boat trip, all the boats do this and they are very much the same but is very good value, the 5 bays cost £14 for two adults and this is with two lunches served on board, the boat stops at 5 bays where you can swim or snorkel and it also stops in a bay where you can get off the boat and walk onto a beach and have a drink at the bar, it starts about 9.30am and returns at about 5.30pm.
I would recommend The Set, The Lighthouse and The Florida for somewhere to eat at night as these are pure restaurants most of the other places are bars with entertainment that also do meals.
Cheapest prices for alcohol can be found in the Buffalo bar, 60p a pint of Effes larger or £1 for a bottle of Effes, the bar plays music then Karaoke until midnight, then as all the bars do, the loud music stops and people just sit around chatting.
The local Wednesday market is very big but prepare yourself for bedlam as the sellers are loud and in your face as soon as you get there, there are some bargains to be had but you will need to haggle, I would suggest that if you are in Icmeler for 2 weeks, then go on the second week when you know how much you need to pay as you can price most of the goods in the shops beforehand, a word of warning if you go over your baggage allowance then you will have to pay £10 for every Kilo extra, my thanks to Jeff and his wife for the loan of their scales I was able to spread the load between our suitcases and hand baggage so did not incur any penalties.
We have been to Turkey 7 times 4 of these to Icmeler and this is the best and friendliest up to now and will return in the not too distant future.

We stayed in icemler this september the resort is beautiful with the mountains as back drop giving a lovely cool breeze. the resort has all kinds of entertainment from loud to quiet depending what you feel like on the night you can have a quiet night or a noisy night. The beach is kept very clean and sunbeds are cheap great boat trips also cheap about 10.00pounds for food and drink all day well worth going on.I Will definetley go back next year.

entertainment in the bars consist mainly of kareoke of which there are loads never spoilt for choice.watch out for wasps on the beach they go out of their way to sting you.

Icmeler is quiet in comparison to Marmaris up the road and the Turgay is on the edge of the old village in a very quiet location. It is only about a 10 minute walk to the livelier parts of Icmeler but there are some nice restaurants only 5 minutes away. The Love Star is very good.
The beach is about 15-20 minutes from the apartments. Sun beds are very cheap but some bars, including Lineker’s, provide free sun beds.

Icmeler is a great resort, you don't get all the hustle and bustle of Marmaris.There is plenty to do and loads of entertainment on in the bars,If you get chance go and see Stella, It's a very good show.The food is very good and there are lots of places to eat to suit all bugets. The beach is shingle so no sand castle building, but plenty of sunbeds.This was my third visit to Turkey and my second to Icmeler and would not hesitate in recomending this resort.

We have visited Icmeler 3 times and made many Turkish friends. Most restaraunts have entertainment. A wide variety of food,Turkish,English,Chinese,Indian,Italian, even an Irish bar. Try the Majestic on the Canal, best entertainment ever with amazing dancers (Andy and Erhan)and good food.
There are banks, a main supermarket but also many smaller ones.Many shops with jewelery,leather goods, coats,bags,shoes etc. If you just say hello and no thank you ,the shop keepers will give you no hassle.It is a lot quieter then nearby Marmariw which is much noisier and busier This can be reached by Dolmus, a minibus which for 2YTL
(about 82p).They run avbout 1 every 7 minutes. If you see one coming,wherever you are,just flag it down.There is also a great market on Wednesday.I have been elsewhere in Turkey but I love Icmeler the best.

We have been travelling to Icmeler for the past 14 years. It is a beautiful resort, turkish people are warm and friendly.Everything in the resort is within walking distance of the beach. Entertainment is varied and very good.

icmeler is one of the best resorts i have visited the beach really nice ,and about a mile long.the hole resort is very clean and there is entertainment everywere.and all free.all the bar and restaurant staff really go out of there way to look after you.they even remember your name if you go back there.i would recomend anyone to go there.i hope to go there again one day.
