Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

We,ve been visiting Icmeler since 2002, beautiful location & lovely views.
There have been changes, the resort is still kept clean although the beach used to be spotless now its littered with cig butts & could do with a good racking. Prices have gone up alot over the years & not just because of the exchange rate, they do need to be careful cos once people start to find somewhere cheaper like Bulgaria they won't be back!
Places to eat that are reasonable & good food are the Arya
Aparts, Eileens near Tansas, Yorkshire Pride, The Peking Chinese & yes they have a chinese chef & an all you can eat menu for £6.99 each. Efes ranged from 1.5 at the champion bar, 2.5 to 4ytl elsewhere. Also try Roses cafe in the old town for authentic turkish food, the mezes are amazing. A walk around the Old town is a must.
Excursions, transfers etc we always book with Carol at Icmeler Travel Centre in the centre, they also have a website. Went on the Dalyan boat trip for £10, bargain, hired a jeep with full insurance for 2 days through them, went to the Cinar restaurant on the Cleopatra Island turnoff, & on to Akyaka, beautiful place, Gokova, Dalyan village. The second day we explored the Icmeler Peninisula, Turunc, Selimye, Bozburun, Amos & Kumlubuku, Turgut falls is also worth visiting. All in all we had a great holiday & have booked for September 2009, can't wait.

Resort spotlessly clean, roadsweeper around twice a day, excellant resturants and bars but be warned the fun pubs become loud at 10pm and there are perhaps a few too many close together if your in one you can hear the music from the others, avoid these areas if you want a romantic dinner for two, you wont be able to hear each other speak. All in all a great resort people very friendly but not in your face a polite no thank you is all it takes, dont promise you will call later they will remember.

Being our first time in Turkey, we stayed in Icmeler and was not disappointed. The main town is full of pubs and restaurants so you are slightly spoilt for choice. We can only recommend one restaurant and that was Richards Place, food was fantastic and the staff were really nice, if they recognised you when you were out walking they always made time to talk to you. We had our breakfast everyday at Annes Place good value for money and it set you up for the day. Definately, will be returning.

We have visited this resort many times and it is one of the best resorts that we have come across in our years of travel unfortunatly it would appear that the good times have gone in relation to the cost of a meal if you think that the uk is expensive then think again because a sunday lunch in icmeler will cost you double what it costs in the uk and if you are unfortunatly delayed in dalaman airport a coffee will set you back £4.50p and a mc donalds burger chips and coke £12 to £14, good luck if you decide to go but take plenty of cash with you.

Noticed this year there was a lot of dog poo around Icmeler, not seen that before, please use the poop scoops if you have pets.
Love the new promanade, very rustic looking and in keeping with Icmeler it's self.
The bars seemed to be on noise overdrive this year with regards to the music, it seemed louder than ever with bars competing against other bars. Sad really as there is absolutely no need for this.
Already booked my flights for next year, roll on Sept !

The resort at this time of year is very quiet but there are lots of bargains to be had. Ate at lots of restaurants all were great. I would aviod eating at some of the fun bars though you find yourself being served by teenagers with hangovers!

Even though you got hassle from the shop keepers and the restaurants when you went out, a polite no was usually enough for them. We went out quite a few nights and there was a good choice of restaurants and entertainment. With the resort being quite small it was easy to get about. We only went down to the beach on a couple of occasion which the grandchildren enjoyed.

We love Icmeler, just about to go for the 13th time. The resort is lovely, with plenty restaurants and bars and 2 nightclubs. There are plenty shops and down by the canal a lot of stalls selling a variety of goods from silver to handbags and clothes and souveniers. The beach is lovely and very clean but busy. There are a lot of agencies selling boat trips, jeep safaris and various days out which are usually good value for money.
The Wednesday market is good or a bargain and quite often a laugh. The people in Icmeler are lovely and friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
