Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Icmeler is a very clean resort, and I would urge anyone who has a pre conception that I used to have before going to Turkey, that it is dirty. It's not, and put many european countries to shame especially ours.
I have been going to Icmeler for 3 years now, and the entertainment hasn't changed much, and mostly consists of bar staff doing shows, as most bars can't afford to book professional entertainments. Don't let that put you off though, as there is a proeffesional drag show there you can see. Also Marmaris is only a 20 min bus ride away, and the last bus back to Icmeler is 1.30 am so you can have a decent night out, without coming home to early. You will find plenty to do there, but you will be pleaed to get back to Icmeler at the end of the night away from the hussle and bussle of marmaris.
The Beach is made up of shingle, sunbeds are usually free on most parts of the beach, all they ask is that you buy a drink from the bar, as the bars own the peace of beach directly infront of them.

man made beach...not brill but spent day round our pool so wasn't bothered. plenty of lovely places to eat...you must go to the chief in middle of town fantastic and a very small family run resturant on the canal called kerem traditional turkish food at its best, say hi to mum and dad, they are lovely, go to the market as early as you can it gets so hot and manic late morning. no hassel from the guys outside the resturants in town, they have installed camaras in the streets and it is ilegal for them to leave their premises now to try and get you in...excellent

The resort is spotlessly clean.The entertainment is all there a bit of live music some kareoke and a lot of Michael Jacksons break dancers and great waiters dancing on bar tops and tables.As for the beach I would not go there as it is coarse grit you would need work mens boots to walk on it. Roll on next year I will be back to home from home ICMELER.

The resort was lovely and clean, there was plenty of things to do if you wanted and i would go back it was a great place.

We hardly ever had to wait for the bus (dolmus) to the resort centre and it is a short 5/10 minute ride for 1 Ytl.
The bars and resurants made a real effort to ensure everyone had a good time. Between the beach and the main drag is a side street with some nice restaurants. The best by far for us was Charlies but we also enjoyed sampling everywhere and never had a bad meal.
The beach is OK but not great i'm afraid. If your at the well equipped Julian Forest though you won't miss it.
People have been saying the resort is more expensive but this is mainly due to the exchange rate being so low. Hopefully it will rise again soon but make sure your prepared before you go. Meal for 2 costs about 50 YTL.
Lots of jewellers about and the market is great (every Wednesday in Ichmeler and Thursday in Marmaris).
Marmaris is just up the road (another short dolmus trip). If you do head there try a water taxi and try having a drink by the Marina watching the Yachts.
We'll be back next year and we cannot wait!!!

Icmeler is fantastic - that's the second time we've visited and we can't wait to get back! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly - we were greeted like long lost family by folk we'd met the last time. Loads of great places to eat out and plenty to do - but not too commercialised or busy.

The resort is very clean.Entertainment is poor we heard the same music being played nearly every night the bars sometimes had more staff than customers and all they do s the same dance routines they have been doing since we first visted twelve years ago.We go to the each below Cans Cafe which is very good not to busy sunbeds are in two rows and good service.

Cant say that there was anything bad about the resort, Ive been to Turkey 3 times now but there is something about Icemeler that I cant stop coming back to, everyone is just so nice and friendly without being over the top.

this resort is very clean.it has various bars to keep you going till midnight,then the music has to stop,but you can carry on drinking till the small hours if you want to.the beach is ok but it has no sand its more like small pebbles or shale. the prices in the resort are getting quite dear and is not as cheap as it used to be.
