Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

A delightful little resort with, I would think, something for everyone.
Only a few minutes bus journey from the large town/resort of Marmaris(about 70p).
Would go back to a better hotel or eat out in the many resturants, where the prices seemed reasonable.

We didnt get out and about much due to the 'hassle' they dont give you a second to think or talk and they are forever trying to get you in to bars etc, if only they let you make your own descisions then possibly they would get more custom, we personally didnt step foot in a 'hassle' bar and we never would.
3 bars were shut down for hassle so hopefully it will come to an end sometime.

Brilliant resort total contrast to the rowdy bustling Marmaris up the road. Still plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and excellent value.
Very scenic with mountains at the back and a lovely sea front. Not a lot of hassling from shop and bar owners (if they get complaints they are closed down for a few days)Too many good restaurants and bars to mention but most put on free entertainment.
The whole resort is clean and the beach is a mix of sand and small pebble. Would recommend to anyone.

Icmeler is a great destination just big enough to have everything to suit most ages,it has a more open feeling than Marmaris and is flat and very easy to get around on foot.Everyone is always cleaning the areas around their businesses as a result the whole resort gets looked after. The beach has finer sand near the waters edge which gets courser as you move back you can hire sunbeds and shade for a very small charge. There are all the usual water sports available and regular water taxis to Marmaris and other neighbouring resorts plus numerous boat trips. As for entertainment most places put on something normally led by the bar staff, there are a few places that put more of a show on and several places have good turkish night entertainment, a couple of discos but more nightlife in Marmaris which is easily reached by dolmus or taxi. Eating out average meal for two starter, main course wine/beer £15-£20 but you often get much more as all the restaurants give coffee/brandy etc afterwards as a thank you and if you have kids they normally get spolied with ice cream/soft drinks, most restaurants have set meal offers. Last of all the local council have put a ban on pestering people as you walk past the restaurants and bars so much easier to have that stroll after your meal without being hassled.

We have stayed in lots of places in Turkey and to be honest, Icmeler in our opinion is the nicest of all.
It is a fairly quiet resort in any event and is more suited to couples and families, although there are disco's for the younger ones.
We had to laugh as on the plane journey over, a lady sat behind us was telling a young couple who had never visited Turkey before and who were staying in Icmeler, that they wouldn't like Icmeler, as there was only 4 Hotels and nothing to do!
I think this lady must have visited Icmeler for a minute, sat in a bar on the sea front and that was her expert opinion gained in that quick flash of time.
There is lots to do and please dont be put off by people who tell you otherwise. They are usually people that stay in Marmaris which is far far busier but not nearly as pretty.

Icmeler is a lovely resort, try love boat or venice on the canal for a meal and go to dreamboys for cocktails!

The resort was very clean and small enough to manage to see it all if you wished. Locals are very friendly, shopping can be a bit bothersome for haggling, however it is also quite fun and some of the shops are priced to make it easier although you can still haggle.
The entertainment is superb, we went to a drag show called Stella at the Harmony bar on the waterfront, wholly recommend this if you have a great sense of humour and the ability to have a laugh at yourself, you will thoroughly enjoy it.
Recommend going on a boat trip, fantastic day, you get your lunch on the boat which is included in the price and the boat sails in and out of little coves throughout the day which you can swim in.
The Village Tour was also very good, visited a Turkish ladies old house in the mountains, visited her son's cafe, a waterfall, a carpet making factory, a mosque, a primary school, had lunch and visited a beach before going home, all for ten pounds per adult and five per child. Children under five went free. Fantastic!
Beach was quite crowded and is shingly, however there are sandy parts along the coast to Marmaris. We did not feel the need to visit the beach due to the superb facilities at the apartments.
Would definitely visit this resort again and was considering going back this October, however I do not think my boss will allow me another two weeks away!!!

Very lively could cater for all ages and preferences, from foam parties to quiet family resturants, you will get hassled by traders and resturant staff but a firm "no thanks" will do the trick.
