The Club Armar is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. We arrived in the early hours of the morning after a very long journey and we had to stand and wait for at least five minutes while the guy at reception finished what he was doing. We eventually had to draw his attention to the fact that we were still waiting and he, grudgingly, attended to us. Not a good start.

We were eventually taken to our rooms and our view overlooked the children's playpark which was not too bad but my daughter was put in a room which overlooked the roof of the indoor pool and onto a derelict building. The furniture on the balcony was all broken and rusty. The roof was littered with clothes which had obviously fallen from balconies above and, worst of all, a used condom. After many complaints this was eventually cleaned at the end of our first week. Things never really improved after that.

The staff were the rudest most unhelpful people ever.

This was supposed to be an "4-star all Inclusive" holiday. Never - it was more like 2-star and full board with a drink, when you could get one. The drink was watered down and there was not one day went by when the beer was not "off" or they had ran out of something. Sometimes this happened twice in the one day.

As for food, there was no variety whatsoever, for 14 days it was chicken, pasta, rice, melon. I did not know there were so many different ways to cook chicken. There was no kids menu either and we had to pay for ice cream.

As for entertainment, the only word to describe it was "abysmal". As for staff, words cannot describe how rude and unhelpful they were. The MedHotels rep was no better.

People in the Hotel had their clothes stolen from their rooms and one person even saw one of the housemaids wearing her dress and reported it to the management who said the woman did not work at the Hotel, which was a lie. This nearly caused a riot. My granddaughter had a

Just returned from a fantastic holiday based at this hotel. I travelled with my partner and another couple.

Having read other reports we were a bit worried about going, but on arrival we soon realised that we had nothing to worry about.

Hotel was very clean, food was good as long as you like chicken, pork, pasta's, chips, potatoes, vegetables, salads, cheeses, breads and olives. The dining room was buffet so you can take as much or as little as you want. The only exception was the main 'cooked meat' at evening meal but if you keep your plate out to the chef he will put on as much as you want.

Our room was very nice with fantastic air conditioning, large beds, dressing table, tv, fridge, clean bathroom with quite a powerful shower and also hairdryer in room.

The only complaint we would really have is the service at the bar was sometimes a bit slow and not enough ice was available for drinks. Until 11pm beer, fizzy drinks, ice tea, squash, vodka, brandy, raki, gin etc was free. After this deadline the prices were the same as most places we visited. The Garden bar was a relaxing place to start and end an evening.

Entertainment staff were very friendly and catered mostly to families. We only spent one night at one of the 'shows' but they did try to get everyone involved. The entertainment started around 845pm and finished around 11ish.

I would definately visit this hotel again, but be aware to get decent sunbeds you will have to get up at about 7am to book them out like our european friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the hotel its self was very cleen and plesent, our holiday didnt start off very well,we arrived early tuesday morning(2.00)and was told we has a twin room with a door that seperated our two rooms, this wasnt the case,it had one double bed with onsuite bathroom then in the other room was a sofa bed with springs comming through,a single bed and a cot,for my 3 year old son,it didnt have a tele or mini bar as stated,so what they had done was put us in to one bigroom but they had tryed to make it into two.so we complained,at first they wouldnt have any of it but after we kepton they moved us.the food wasnt very good at all, nothing for children, and the entertainment was very poor as they didnt start till 10.30ish and the allinclusive drinks stoped at 11.oo.very clever.

Have just returned from 10 day 'holiday' at Armar Hotel.

The Thompson holiday rep had only arrived at the same time as us and knew very little about the hotel. She spent most of her time at the hotel next door. At first, we had no idea how to use the card system and the bar staff had little English and even less patience. Other holiday reps actually took the time to show people the ropes.

We had attended the 'welcome' meeting as it was our first time in Turkey and all the rep was interested in doing was selling trips at a rip off price we found out later. It is far far cheaper to book from the agents outside the hotel - the rep will tell you they don't have insurance but I think it is worth taking the chance. Most other people do.

As we were on half board we could at least escape the food which I didn't find too bad because I enjoy salads but my partner was disgusted with the hot food - once or twice some decent bar-b-qd chicken was served - and some kebab meat which was lovely. The portion control is seriously bad makes you feel like Oliver Twist!! Overall the standard of food is not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel I felt sorry for people with children. I suspect the 4 stars are for the swimming pools!

The down side of being half-board was the amount we were charged for drinks at the bar.

On arriving at hotel, my wife, myself, and another couple were put in a family room as the hotel was full. we managed to get our double room the next day. The lunch and dinner menu consists of all types of salad, but very little cooked food, and the portions handed out were tiny. You were made to feel like beggars when you asked for more.Desserts- Apart from melon, everything is soaked in syrup or sugar, no ice cream, no fruit, and as my wife is diabetic, no choices. The hotel advertises A la carte restaurant, snack bar, nightclub/disco,tennis and squash. None of these things are available and of the three bars it advertises, only two were ever in use. All inclusive drinks are a very limited range and when buying outside of the hours, the prices were exorbitant Lastly, the majority of staff were offhand and unhelpful, but presumably that was because they were listening to so many complaints. Worst hotel we have ever stayed in

I stayd in hotel Armar for 11 days and when I went home I wished I could stay much longer because I never had such great holliday. The staff and entertainment are in one word great and if it wasn't for them I dont think I had such great time. From the morning til we went to bed everyone was making sure that you felt at home and didn't get bored. Even tough it was very hot they still organised different events in and around the pool. The food was allso very good but I have to say that I eat allmost everything. But I now that I am going back next year or maybe sooner if I can.

I travelled with my wife, thankfully we do not have any children, as they would have been very disappointed. I can only say that we both feel cheated from visiting this hotel having paid to do it as

Mixed feelings about this one, I travelled with my wife and 2 daughters eldest daughters partner and grandson.

I found the food palatable as I am willing to try anything but found it very boring,my wife and daughters didn't like it all the daughters partner found it the same as me but forget about being able to please a 6 yr old child as they do not cater at all for children on the food side, even the ice creams had to be paid for even though it was all inclusive, drinks finished at 23:00 hrs and after that had to be paid for which was also dissapointing.

The hotel itself was very clean and pleaseant surroundings although at the time of our visit the 3rd pool as advertised was still under construction.

Entertainment was a big zero and no real organisation in place for a childrens club at time of writing.

biggest shock was being told after checkout at mid-day we had to hand our cards in and could have no further food or drinks unless we paid for them, we didn't arrive until the early hours of tueday morning (02:00) and everything was stopped at 12:00 on the monday which made us feel like outcasts and we were not getting picked up until 21:35.

Every other All Inclusive Hotel I have been to have allowed us to eat and drink right up till our coach came to pick us up for transfer to airport without any problem what so ever.

Most staff were very friendly but when approached about any problems the back heeling was unbelieveable, nobody seemed to want to make a desicion.Under the current system I would not go back and would rather go self-catering.
