From start to finish this has to be the best holiday we have had. Three generations of the same family all had superb time thanks to the hotel and bar staff and the entertainment team of Jack and Evelyn. Three year old boy was so well looked after by Muharam in the kids play area. We were well looked after by the best ever team managed by the charismatic Tom. The hotel is so clean - fresh flowers left in our rooms - the pool area spotlessly clean. If you want a lively holiday or you want to witness other people having a lively holiday then come to the Excelsior. All day entertainment - just brilliant. We actually cried when we had to leave - wish we were back there now ! Well done to you all - Turkey should be proud !

just got back from club exelsior. there was a group of 4 adults and 4 children and we had a great holiday. We stayed in the apartments and to be honest it is treated a bit like the poor relation to the main hotel. the bar staff were fantastic efe, mario and seyit. always happy to help and will always find you a sunbed!!!(your not supposed to put your towels out if your not there so they give you an hour and if your not back they move them, which was fun to see on many occassions). the entertainment was not really happening for us they tried there best but it didnt really work. This is the first self catering holiday we have been on that forbids you from bringing your own drinks and food to the pool. you can buy water from the supermarket cheap but they insist you buy it from the bar if you want it by the pool which in my opinion is not right. the bar should be optional and not mandatory on a self catering holiday!!!!!! the party dances and pool dances the guys do are fun. the bar staff are always on the bar dancing with fireworks and the kids thought it was great. you have to be careful with the music they play by the pool during the day, having 4 kids with us aged from 7 to 8mnths the language in some of the songs was terrible but if you explain to staff they turn it off( i dont think they understand the language) for example they played living next door to alice without the bleeps!!!!! all in all it was a good holiday but not as cheap as we were lead to believe. just outside exelsior were two great bars called dominoes and anfi. at these places if you had your evening meal they would give your breakfast for free and it was a good old english breakfast just like you get at home. Marco from the entertainment team was fab, but he was working alone in the apartments bit and did his upmost to make you feel welcome. maybe if he had a liitle more help from the main hotel???????
any way i would go back to exelsior but we really like to go different places.

my third time in exelsior and the apartments are clean as always, the self catering is a joke as you cant bring anything to the pool unless bought it from the bar.the location for us is great not right bin the main resort of marmaris but only a fifteen minute walk, although there is loads of bars and restaurants near the exelsior if you choose not to go into town.the staff are exellent on club and jr,we stayed at the smaller side jr,where the bar staff hasan seyit efe and the rest are first class as are all the staff on both sides.on a down side the entertainment this year was rubbish at day and night time, sick to death of karaoke, and the same cd playing all day and a lack of daytime games, night time wasnt any better.that said i will be going back next year in the hope that the entertainment has improved and your holiday doesnt have to surround solely round your hotel but the guys are so nice and are great with the kids

We arrived at our Hotel at about 4.30 in the morning to be met by a receptionist who although didnt speak wonderful English was very polite and helpful. our cases were then taken to our room by a very unpleasant smelling security guard. We got to our room and gave him our only turkish change, 2 lira to wich he responded' more- Turkish , English, euro anything' Not the greatest of starts! The room was basic but clean. Were quite dated and could maybe do with a lick of paint. we were in the main Hotel block facing the road which has a road cleaner and the bin men coming down at 5.30 every morning but you do get used to it. The hotel was very busy being school holidays but I was amazed when i wandered down to the pool at 7ish to look for sunbeds to find there wasnt a single one!It was mentioned later in the welcome meeting but the last thing I wanted was to get up at 6 every day of my holiday just to get a bed by the pool. We were told towels were taken off after an hour of the pool opening if no one has arrived at the beds but I didnt ever see it happen. The entertainment around the pool was cheesy but fun. JJ started the morning off with Darts then Karen took the water aerobics ( which was just an excuse to get the Mums to learn the club dance). Later was water polo or volley ball and Kat entertained the smaller kids ith games around the pool. It was a bit annoying how you couldnt take your own snacks or drinks around the pool especially as they have an on site supermarker but most people ignored the ban and, as long as you didnt get caught drink in hand, most waiters turned a bit of a blind eye. Cleaners in room every day and always did a good job. safes very reasonable at 7 pounds a week and late check out room 12 pounds until late evening which is very handy if your on a night flight

Arrived at Club Exelsior at 5am and were helped up to our rooms in the Exelsior Annexe by two very helpful members of staff. Being a group of 9 we had asked for 2 x 2 bedroom apartments and these were allocated to us in the Annexe building, which used to be known as Club Lobelia and was bought over by Exelsior this year. The entrance is directly opposite the reception of Club Exelsior and is quieter than being in the main buildings.

We were delighted that what we ended up with was two main doors on one landing. Behind each main door there were two doors that led two 2 x 1 bedrooms apartments. We just left the secondary doors open, so when you walked through our main door we ended up with 2 living rooms/kitchens, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Definitely loads of space although only one of the kitchens had all facilities which suited us fine.

We were in Apartment M, which holds rooms 308 and 310 on the third floor and had a fantastic view over the main club exelsior pools. As I said earlier it was quieter than being in the main building as you miss the noise of people leaving the restaurant etc at night and those who have chosen to sit out past midnight when the music is switched off.

There is a great pool with water slide in the main pool and a smaller pool with smaller slides at the main Club Exelsior. There is also a kids games area with pool tables and playstations (2.5 lira for half an hour) and also loads of video games for 1 lira per game. Behind this there is a huge kids climbing frame which is excellent and also the kids club building. Despite not having booked through a tour operator and having chosen to book directly with the hotel we were able to still use the kids club facilities which were run by My Travel/Thomas Cook. They also do a couple of payable evenings where they basically hold like likes of chocolate parties etc for the kids but they keep them for a few hours longer than usual.

The hotel hold a bbq night on a Wednesday night. The cost is around

We were with a mixed party of 30-odd people from Humberside so didn't class this as a couples holiday exactly! We knew more or less what to expect from Club Exelsior having visited it before. There were some good points about the Club and some not so good. The service we received from reception at all times was excellent. Our room was spot on - couldn't be faulted - and the TV was a bonus. It was large, well equipped so we could cook a decent meal, the shower was powerful, the bed was comfy, we had a pool view and the general standard of cleanliness and comfort was good so we were happy with that, having paid a supplement for the privilege. Club Exelsior is not too far from the beach front and the activities for children were second to none. The pool was brilliant, we loved it and spent a lot of time in there cooling off. The daytime entertainment was good fun, if not a bit repetitive by the second week but I thought the evening entertainment programme was very weak if you didn't care much for bingo, karaoke and open the box. Karen the compere was a nice woman but I felt she was simply going through the motions at times. This didn't really bother us too much though as we preferred to go out at night. The Fun Pub is not even worth bothering with - there were only about 4 other people in there when a few of us went in there one night, although it was a shame as the music was good. Our main gripe is with the male entertainers and bar staff. The 'entertainers' could just be plain annoying (Fifi did our head in and the funniest thing about him was his hissy fit one night when he stormed off mid-performance!) and we were hassled whenever we tried to leave the premises, asking where we were going or where we had been. You had to wait ages to be served, especially during Happy Hours when the spirits seemed nowhere near as strong as when you were buying them during normal service hours. The exception to the rule was Murat who, bless him, worked his socks off and was the only one that seemed eager to please. A mention should go to Ahmet as well who tried his best but the rest of them were worse than useless. We simply felt that we were not getting the level of service we are used to in Turkey and it was disappointing. Overall though as we were part of a large party we all agreed that it was a great place to come and stay with kids in tow but next year me and the better half are going to stay somewhere else.

Difficult to know where to start ! The staff are as good if not better than any I have ever come across, nothing is too much trouble for them and they work tirelessly day and night. That goes for everyone from reception through waiters/ barstaff to entertainers, kids entertainers and everyone concerned with running this complex. A special mention for the maids who, apart from doing an excellent job, always add the extra little touches by decorating the beds and leaving flowers in the room. Bedding and towels changed regularly. The rooms, if a little basic, are totally adequate and decorated and furnished to a good standard and are well equipped. Overall the hotel and facilities are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. The food we bought from the restaurant was as good as any we bought anywhere in the resort and good value for money. The entertainment was well organised and a lot of effort was put into it but it was virtually the same no matter which hotel you spent the evening at. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Exelsior to anyone who is thinking of going and in the very likely event of us returning to Marmaris we will certainly be staying at the Exelsior again.

Excellent holiday, the best ever yet. Wish we could have stayed. Excellent weather, excellent staff, really friendly, kids loved the pool.

Anfi bar and restaurant, great food great staff just at the bottom of the road and left from hotel. Also just along from there is Dominoes, great food too and free breakfast next day, great specials. Just along from there is great hairdressers/barbers and next door to that the best man on island selling trips highly recommend both. Then across the road is a excellent restaurant called Green Hill best food ever tasted. Just tell everyone ginger vinny sent you.

We have already booked again same place and hotel for next year woo hoo x
