All in all myself and my friends had a great holiday, the weather was lovely, the food was great, Marmaris and the hotel were clean and aesthetically pleasing, and providing we drank Efes the drink was generally cheap. Unfortunately though the atitude of the Turkish people would make me reconsider whether or not i'd want to go back to Turkey, as 2 weeks was a long time to have to put up with their aggressive and volatile nature, and generally they were not welcoming to anyone carrying a British passport.

If your british then i strongly advise against going to this hotel as you will most likely be the only ones there and will feel outcasted as the staff at the cosmopolitan seem to be extremely obnoxious towards british customers.
The entertainment was extremely poor with a dj who tested the mic every 5 mins and played only about 5 english songs the rest were foreign.
The only help to us was a new waitress who joined the hotel who was from london who helped as much as she could however the receptionist seemed to think she owned the place by telling anyone off she pleased.
The photographers who work there are also worth staying clear of if you have children believe me i warn you about it i wouldnt let any kids i know go to this place!!
The only good part to this hotel is the maids and cleansiness they do a great job but other than that i would certainly not recommend staying at the cosmopolitan.
A few other things are if you are sunbather you wont get a sunbed as theres not enought to go around and theres always towels on ones when knowone is there.
My recommendation is stay well clear of this hotel go to something like the Alpina its 100 times better than this one

I will say however that the cleaners did a fantastic job and we gave them a nice tip at the end of our visit.
The food in the Resort was very expensive compared with other places we visited in Marmaris and an example of the drinks prices was that I asked for a nice Whiskey and ice and was charged

This hotel split into two blocks - new modern block is excellent(whereour hotel room was) - totally spotless room with view over main pool.
After much arguing with thomas cook rep- who was the worst i have ever encounterd we eventually go moved - wish we hadnt moaned as we got move to other block to self catering which was goo the state of the room and block was not- dirty walls, wallpaper in lobbys held up by chewing gum!!!!!!
POOLS-There are two pools big one - lots of games etc really busy, very clean . slides etc.
Second pool much quieter again v clean.
SUN LOUNGERS - well if your notfast ur last.. and if u arent fast and ask the staff o remove sun towels if your english you have no chance but if your scandinavian then they will remo ve the towels and give you a sunbed.
FOOD- we ate hotel once - reasonable, tasty not too expensive. Also if taking own food and rink to poolside expect to be challenged by staff - as they do not allow it - they expect you to buy frm pool bar. well again uless yo are scandanavian then you canhalf a full on picnic by the pool and not hear a word.
ENTERTAINMENT- we only stayed once- accordian show was funny suitanle for adults and kids. everything is announced in english but is really directed towards the scandanavian/german guests.
NOISE- no problems - no noise one good thing is the european kids really are much better behaved than british .
All in all decent hotel depending on what block u get put in . Dont book with thomas cook as quite frankly absoloutely appaling service given by reps

The hotel is badly let down by it's poor air conditioning, particularly for August tempratures. The air-con unit in the master bedroom exhausts out on to the balcony at floor level which in turn feeds back into the main living/additional sleeping area - creating tempratures of in excess of 60c or 150f in old money.
Spot checks are carried out with the threat of fines being imposed for operating the air-con unit when not in the room. Before you feel any benefit from the air-con it could well be in excess of an hour, not ideal when you have small children.

The waiters and cleaners are lovely, but the atmosphere in the hotel is poor, food and drinks are overpriced and the woman from the jewellery shop is proper rude and arrogant. Hairdresser was good, very friendly and reasonably priced.
We really enjoyed our VIP treatment in the spa downstairs, something you really should try! Great lads and absolutely worth every penny!
The hotel is too far from the center, but we prefer the beach, so we where outside the hotel almost everyday. Much better restaurants and bars. Nicer surrounding, better prices and food.
In the hotel are not enough sunbeds and everything is focussed on the skandinavians that rule that hotel.
We'll be back in Marmaris next year, but not in this hotel!

You are about a 30 min walk from the main area but plenty of cabs is you don't want to walk, theres a great supermarket 5mins away.
Lots of great places to eat along the beach, the food was always amazing! Enjoy!

The pool was amazing. Jacuzzi in the pool, kiddies pool and 3 fun water slides.
It has also got another pool.
Very Clean. Has also got a gym and Turkish bath downstairs.
Staff were very friendly.
Overall I can say that I was well happy with the cosmopolitan.
I am hoping to go back in September this year.
The only drawback is that it's a 20-25 minute walk to the Beach front.
But there are taxi's outside for about 4quid or buses running in front of the hotel for around 60p.
PS - Make sure you go to TALK OF THE TOWN show - V.V.Funny
