Location
the entertainment is on every single night and its always great, .. throughout the day there is darts, killer pool, waterpolo, slides, afternoon quiz etc. sounds great doesn't it. i loved all day every day at cettia .. all staff are always up for a laugh even the manager, the manager salim is really nice he talks to you to make sure your enjoying your holiday , he sometimes even goes behind the bar and starts juggling haha it's really entertaining...
when i was there it was my brothers birthday so my dad paid a small price for a cake, birthday banners, champange and firework sort of things, this was all thanks to ash as he organised all this for us, so if your celebrating any special occasions while your here and you want to give someone a suprise for they occasion just ask ash the waiter , the price is really cheap, and the night will be a great suprise for someone.
as you can see i could talk all day about club cettia but i'm going too.
just book up as you really don't know what your missing...

You could get a fresh omelette made on the spot each day and for an extra 5 TL you could procure 1 small rasher of back bacon and 1 small proper sausage with your breakfast! I stuck to a fresh omelette and glass of orange juice most mornings. Tea and coffee do come as part of the breakfast package and can be ordered in the bar area. Evening meals were adequate with the full 3 courses available. Cold meats and preserves at breakfast and salads, deserts and side-dishes in the evening were left exposed to the outside elements (flies, wasps and hornets...) for the full 2 hours of both meals each day which was the only downside to the food. Fortunately, neither of us came down with anything.
The hotel is justifiably a 4 star establishment, but the apartments are more like 3 stars if you ask me.
We could use the hotels facilities such as Sauna, jacuzzi and indoor pool free of charge.
Turkish Bath, body, face and foot massages are optional extra's, We did go for the full 'deluxe' bath and massage package and it was just great even if slightly costly at

Club Cettia Appt's
We were placed on level 5 (Room 505) which had all the hallmarks of a loft conversion. That is two thirds of the roof space are the roof rafters! Now this might be rather quaint at home sending the occasional guest up to the converted loft room for the night, but when you're banging your head into these beams for your first 24 hours it's not so quaint! So, if you're over 6ft don't accept one of these Hobbit type rooms! We booked on New Years eve and you would think the longer in advance you book the better the room location you would receive??
Food
I have to mention the Taj Mahal Indian restaurant on the main Marmaris to Icmeler Road. It's sort of halfway between the Cettia and the main resort and about a 20 minute walk. The quality of this Food from a Bradford chef supposedly is out of this world. You'd struggle to find this high level of quality on your average UK High Street. 2 Courses and a bottle of plonk are a very reasonable 36 TL apiece.

The food was ok, but my partner and the children eat out every morning and we went out in the evening for tea towards the end of the week as the food became very repetitive. I would recommend eating at the Rock & Roll bar as the full English breakfast is excellent. And in the evening at the rock & roll bar the staff go out of their way to entertain you and make sure you have a great evening.
Overall a good hotel and I would recommend it.
Rooms: First impressions were very good. The rooms are large and well appointed. Air con, hair-dryer, mini fridge (with two bottles of water already supplied). There were 2 largish single beds and a double sofa bed in out room. Plenty of space for a couple but could be tight for families.
Food: wasn't the best i've had but was perfectly adequate and quite varied. Breakfast was eggs, beans, potatoes or various cereals and fruit. or you can get an omelette or crepes cooked fresh at the outdoor grill. Lunch and dinner were better with around 10 choices such as turkey curry, roast beef, rice, pasta - loads of variety but not always easy to put together a traditional meal. There is always fries, fresh pizza and chicken nuggets if you don't like what's on offer. Must mention the salads though - always very crisp and fresh and because they were so good I didn't put on as much weight as I usually do!
If you do fancy a change (or a full english) just pop across the road to Star Bux where you can get a lovely fry up for 5 lyra.
Drinks: The bar staff were brilliant and gave large measures. There's a 2 drink per person per visit rule, but they are flexible if they can see you're in a larger group. I saw one group trying it on and trying to fill their table with drinks before the 11pm cut off and the barman said no. Ha ha serves them right.
Staff. All the staff spoke excellent English and were the friendliest I have ever known. They were also very funny and seemed very happy to help.
The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the sea but save yourself the trouble and jump on the Dolomus that stops outside the hotel. Bus number 3, blue and white. It's only 1.25 lyra and takes you right down to the marina. The bus stop is outside Burger King and McDonalds and it's near the castle which would take you 30-40 minutes to walk. You can jump on a dolomus anywhere, just stick your arm out.
Trips: Went on a boat trip, a turkish night and to see Ephesus. You can book these slightly cheaper from the many excursion sellers, but do you need the hassle of haggling to save a fiver? The trip to ephesus was a long day as it's 3 hours away but worth it as it's the best roman city ruins I've seen. If you go down to the marina you'll get to see the boats that do the trips and book them there and then. Check whether food and drink is included and don't pay the first price!
My first trip to Turkey and I loved it. It's so green and lush, and doesn't look like a war zone once you step outside the resort. The people are also very friendly and will laugh and joke with you so give them a smile.
Can't wait to go back!

The rooms were spacious and were cleaned on a daily basis. The cleaners were lovely and worked round the clock to keep the resort clean. The air conditioning was ok but considering it was dealing with temperatures of up to 49 degrees, I think it worked well.
The Hotel was a bit off the main resort but that suited us fine. A Dolomush stopped right outside and only charged 1 turkish lira per person to take you to the beach. However there are other dolomush that go past the resort but they are slightly dearer (1.25 TL) and take you to the marina end of the beach.
The hotel staff were wonderful. They went out their way to make the holiday the best it could be. My son celebrated his 18th birthday whilst we were there and the restaurant manager organised for a table to be set aside and a cake was made for him. It certainly made is a birthday to remember! The reception staff were lovely and spoke fairly good english. The enterainment staff were the best. My daughter was too old for the kids club but the entertainment team always made sure that we were included in the fun in the evening. My daughter especially enjoyed the club dance which we usually joined in albeit from our balcony.
We would definately visit again - in fact I am in the process of booking up for next year!
