me my sister and the rest of our family joined the party at villa sun for unfortunatley only one week this year...but needless to say we will be back next year without a shadow of a doubt! the hotel and its staff are excellent murat and the rest of the bar and hotel staff will always go out of there way to make your holiday feel that little bit more special..much so that i actually took ill for 2 days of the 7 and was provided with room service and air conditioning free of charge. baz is a great man and is happy to befriend every single one of his guests...regardless of weather they ate or drank at his hotel every single night. cleanliness is excellent and the cleaner is a very polite hard working woman.

i strongly dissagree with the negative comments below, me and my family love villa sun and its staff!

the cleaners were very friendly, very helpful, and very good at their work, it was my birthday during my stay and she had put a small vase of flowers there next to my cards, out of her own good nature, not by request, she even hand washed an item of my clothing and was very happy to do so.

the food, well! i found the food at villa sun amazing, we ate out only once because we found the food there better than any other, they even made me a birthdaycake, which was fantastic! and made off thier own accord, the meals were value for money, due to size, taste and serivce!

staff, there isnt a report i could give glowing enough to give these guys, very friendly, very funny, and overall very helpful! murat is very comical and hardworking and was a pleasure to see day in day out, baz the manager, wonderful, happy to befriend any of his guests, and always makes time for his guests, i found that i could talk to him as though i had known him years! a very respectful man also

entertainment was good, turkish night was my favorite, the belly dancer really got you envolved with the performance,not just for the men either! she was funny, the breakdancers were gorgeous and very talented, the food was great and traditional, other nights could be as wild or as quiet as you pleased, one night i ended up doin tarkan-kiss kiss on the bar, with the staff!

would i visit this hotel again? i already have and will continue to do so annually, a warm, welcolming friendly place, great for families and guests of all ages!

me and 3 boy friends stayed in villa sun apartments at the end of july start of august and we had the best time EVER! it was for 2 of us our first time in turkey and we absolutly loved it, the other 2 said it was their best holiday in turkey aswell compared to the other 4 times they have been.

the apartments where SPOTLESS on arrival and where cleaned everyday with new towels given and the place tidied for you. only downside is that you have to buy your own toilet roll but with ahuge tesco around the corner with a 24 pack for around 3lira its hardly going to break the bank.

the food is amazing the chef has been working there years and is able to cook you up anything you ask for even if its not on the menu hes great. we were self catering but ended up eating down at the restarant most night because the food was so good and cheap, we got lunches for 5lira and evening meals for around 7 or 8 lira.

location is good its only a 5 minute walk from restaurants and bars. and a 10minute walk to the beach and bearable in the heat.

the staff are brilliant and make you feel soooo welcome. on arrival there was a complication with our booking and we were accidently put in a studio apt when we booked a 1bed apt, it was 4am when we arrived and when we informed the manager of what had happened he could not do more to help us and moved up to an apartment with a gorgeous pool view.

entertainment is good aswell if you want the music loud its loud if you want to chill out a bit its lowered for you but once it comes to around 12 its kept low because the staff dont want to upset anyone trying to sleep etc. theres turkish nights, karoke, quizes where you can win fish bowls, dancing and loads more. if you dont fancy a night out on the town you wont be left bored with a night in here.

i would definitly come back to these apartments next year
INFACT ME AND MY BOYFRIEND WENT BACK TO TURKEY THIS MONTH (SEPTEMBER) BUT THE FLIGHTS TO DALAMAN WERE SKY HIGH SO WE FLEW TO BODRUM FOR LITTLE OR NOTHING..STAYED THERE FOR 5 DAYS AND BOTH OF US REALLY MISSED MARMARIS AND THE VILLA SUN APARTMENTS SO WE TOOK A 3HOUR DRIVE TO GO BACK AND STAY FOR A NIGHT WHERE THE STAFF WERE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SEE US AGAIN AND HAD A ROOM THERE FOR US TO STAY IN.

before i went to turkey i was always one of them people that vowed never to go back to the same place twice because the world is too big to waste but now after staying here i dont think i would go anywhere else for my summer holidays, cheap drink, cheap food, amazing shops and clothes, the most friendly people youl ever meet and the most amazing weather and scenery ever turkey and villa sun is the place to go if you want the best holiday ever seriously there was not one bad thing i could say about the place!

this was a self catering holiday but unfortunately no one told the manager as we had no cooking facilities.
On 2 occassions we did eat the food from the restaurant was over priced and average.

The apartment staff made us feel very intimidated because we did not wish to spend our money or time in the bar and restraunt.

the apartments were under equiped making it dificult self cater.

The entertainment consisted of a quiz night every night with the winner receiving a fish bowl concoction of alocohol.

If you didnt spend money in his bar he would ignore you ! for example first day we were there we were like oh no the reports on internet are totally wrong, Baz is a lovely man, (he even offered for us to stay another week free of charge only for us to book our flights!), however like i say, after the first couple of nights we wanted to go out and explore marmaris, after this Baz turned his back on us and came up to us and said ' where have you been, i have not seen you for 5 days, my bar is going bankrupt !' cheeky bugger that he was !

First time in Marmaris and hated it ! all because of him.



Trust me, he will be nice for as long as you are spending money. on the turkish night Baz was trying to charge

I Disagree with the below comments! I thought this hotel was excellent, true, if you spend nothing at the bar Baz doesn't like it and will lecture you! At the end of the day he is just trying to make money and considering he makes next to nothing on people paying for accomodation drinks and food are his only other option.

Drinks in this hotel are the same price as everywhere else however food is slightly overpriced! There are restaurants literally 2 minutes away though!

Baz, if you get to know him is a sound guy! He let us keep the room on the last night for free, gave us plenty of free drinks and even took us out clubbing! There were a few nights where we got baz to turn the slide on and had midnight swims, drunk in the pool WOOO!

I would definately reccomend this hotel for young people, also familys with young children, baz makes you feel 100% welcome!

If you don't plan on spending anything in the hotel then i would advise staying somewhere else, because thats the only way to keep baz happy, that said i had friends staying in a different hotel and that hotel manager was the same (quite rude if you spent no money there).

Location wise it takes about 10 minutes (walking) to get to the beach front (near bar x and beach club etc) if you get a taxi it costs around 10 lira (

On arrival met with i have given you a bigger room instead off studio, But we wanted studio then told he had given it to someone else , looked at room it was ok except the slide entrance on balcony said not happy , he told us only in use 12 till 3 . so we accepted ha ha ,because we would only be getting changed at about 5 till 7 then sleeping .big mistake slide comes non when they feel like , radio noise from rooms because people leave doors open so they dont pay for a/con . and if you complain you are abused by manager other staff ok but if you dont use there bar and resturant you get abuse .so be aware you are expected to use there over priced facilitys and you will be in the party and if you get room with slide on balcony you can always give kids pop and adults a beer while they wait . better accomadation found thankfully and well worth paying the extra . great holliday has soon as we left this tip .

i would just like to say,its the first time myself and my wife visited sun villa appartments in marmaris,and would say its the best time weve had on holliday for ages ,baz elvis alex and all the other staff were just fantastic fun and the food was exellent, i would recomend it to anyone.

Facilities available as Self Catering Apartment were very poor.

When we check in to our apartment many of light bulbs was not working. Only one toilet roll was provided and we were asked to pay for extra what a cheap way to make money. We had no towel change or bedding change during 10 nights stay never experienced this kind of treatment during any of our holiday accommodation.

When ever we requested reception staff for any problem about facilities we been called trouble maker.

We felt that the owner Baz was only helpful if you are spending money on Bar & Restaurant of apartment.

Will not visit this apartment again

Fantastic 2 week family holiday. Baz and his staff very professional, friendly and helpful in everyway. Food Quality and quantity 100%. Pool area and rooms clean and tidy. All staff friendly . No problems with towels or linen. Kids used the Internet free. All staff joined in entertainment with the kids dancing every night. I had a teenage daughter with me. No problems with male staff. Respectful to all in every way. Thank you Baz and staff for wonderful memories of our holiday. We would definately go back for our holidays next year
