Quite honestly I found the resort, hotel, people, food, location fantastic. I cannot say enough how pleased with my holiday I was. The hotel is basic and if you are used to luxurious bathrooms then perhaps this hotel is not quite for you, But the staff and the beauty of Olu Deniz made up for the mouldy bits!!! Infact we loved it so much we are going back in Ocotber!!

We stayed in the Tulip Hotel last summer, travelling with Jewel in the Crown holidays.
This hotel was really small and friendly.
The hotel consists a number of blocks, surrounded by plants and trees, about 5 minutes walk way from the main beach, down a quiet side road.
Our room was basic, but functional, although if you were fussy you might have a problem with the bathroom, as it was a bit mouldy in places - though everything worked properly! Like many hotels in Greece, this one was fine if all you are looking for is somewhere to lay your head at night, but if you are wanting to live in the lap of luxury, you would be better off elsewhere!
The room had a safe, air conditioning (payable as an extra), and balcony - although ours was very shady and somewhat uninspiring, being on the ground floor. However, some others have pleasant views over the pool etc.
The hotel itself is family run, and the staff were absolute stars - really really friendly, and couldnt do enough to help. The facilities at the hotel were all low-key (its only a small hotel after all!), but there is a small bar area, bar food available, pool table, and big screen TV etc to hand.
The swimming pool was small but warm and very clean, and never seemed to be very busy. There were enough sunbeds to go round (and to be honest, a lot of people go to the beach anyway).
Breakfast at the hotel was Turkish style (cucumber, tomato, goats cheese etc), so if you are fussy you might not be too keen - but you can always resort to bread and jam if all else fails!
We mainly ate out in the town each evening, where there's plenty of choice, but the Turkish night at the hotel was excellent, with a belly dancer, BBQ and large buffet at a good price.
One word of warning - we loved Olu Deniz, but it is fairly small, and you wont find loads of discos or clubs there, - though there are lots of bars and restaurants along the two main streets. Most people we met loved the place, but a few people who had previously been to Marmaris found it too quiet for them, and were a bit bored.
Also, I don't know if we just got unlucky, but at the time of our visit the sea was absolutely freezing (I believe the British word is "bracing"!)
Overall - we loved Olu Deniz, and this hotel, and would definitely go back there again. You will love it if you like small and friendly places, and resorts with enough going on to keep you entertained, but without feeling overwhelmed with "Brits abroad".
Avoid it if you are used to 4 or 5 * places with lots of luxury, or enjoy big bustling resorts with lots of night life.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel many times. it is a family run hotel and the family can't do enough for you. Ahmet, the nephew arranges all of the bookings, he speaks very good English. Ebo the son is now running their new hotel which is called Magic Tulip Beach Hotel. We looked around this, this year and it was excellent, very much an improvement on the Tulip Hotel which is old and basic.
As long as you are looking for somewhere to sleep and get changed, then you can't go wrong with the Tulip hotel. If you are looking for luxury, then this is not for you. However the new hotel is worth trying.
Both hotels are in the middle of everything, supermarkets, restaurants and the beach are all withing 3 to 5 minutes away.
It is much cheaper to book direct via email and they will arrange taxi pick-up for you, so no hanging about at the airport. This costs about
