Ovacik is a nice quiet location with a few nice bars and restaurants. Good dolmus ssrvice to hisaronu and olu deniz.

The resort was very clean although we missed the bed designs thatwe had last year. The entertainment this year much better than last year, a lot of time was put into organising the entertainment for both the daytime and the evening. The beach was about twenty minutes away by taxi but again stunning.

Ovacik didnt really have that much to offer although minibuses and taxis were frequent and inexpensive to Hisaronu,which was only a 20 minute walk away.On the main road some of the larger hotels had entertainment,mainly belly dancers and a few had small aqua parks that non- residents could go to.The nearest beach is Olu Deniz which is about 20 minutes away by bus.All in all not a bad resort but next time we visit Turkey we'll go nearer to a beach.

Ovacik is small, comfortable if you want it quiet. If like ourselves you like eating out,entertainment, music etc then Hisaronou is more lively but not over the top. Oludeniz is very nice especially at night with lots going on bars resturants shops etc. The Blue Lagoon is very overcrowded now compared to 9 years ago. Turkish bath, paragliding, jeep safari, boat cruise all well worth going on. You won't be disappointed with a holiday here.

We travel to Turkey 3/4 times a year for the last 7 years now and have just back from a month of HEAVEN :)
We stayed in Ovacik but went to Hisaronu of an evening...
There are plenty of excellent bars, restaurants and shops to keep you entertained!
I would recommend the Efes pub, Hustlers bar and Hakuna Matata for bars... Rainbow Indian restaurant, Shanghai Chinese, English restaurant and Four seasons restaurant for food...
While there I bought a gold necklace and bracelet from CoCo Jewellers in Hisaronu, the staff were very helpful and after shopping around for the best prices I found this shop to be the cheapest jewellers in town and excellent quality too! Cheers :)
Now to the beach... Not much to say really, only it's one of the most photographed beaches in the world and If you visit there you will see why!
Looking forward to our next visit to Turkey :)

The resort of Ovacik was not really a resort, just a hillside. Hisonaru was a dolmus ride away, Fethiye and Olu Deniz even further.
The people are very friendly and I have to say the Turkish don't hassle as much as they used to.
The only positive aspect of this holiday was the other inmates of the Tlos Hotel 5/5/08 to 19/5/08. They were the friendliest lot I have ever come across. I thank you all for salvaging this holiday.

Have been to Hisaronu and Ovacik many times and plan to continue doing so. Villages are well looked after. Trips are usually worth the money. Diversity of entertainment if you want it. Blue Lagoon beach is spectacular.

Hisarouni is about 10-15 mins walk. Lots to see and do. Book your tours here not with the reps. We had a free boat ride with one of our tours.

hisaranu is a lovely resort with plenty of good restaurants and bars shops and all the locals are very happy and helpful.

ovacik is in the a nice place to stay. no beach, mountains. a good base.
