I am really really excited and since we changed from Kos we have longer to wait. I spend hours now on the net looking at the resort, reading all your good reports. We have paid more but got a better deal as we now have a kids den. The girls are besides themselves and we have to keep reminding ourselves that we have to wait until 10th August - what drinks are free and what do you have to pay for? How are the mosis do we need to bother with a deet spray or will normal do. did anyone hire a car?

Thanks Debora. Just going onto the shops, may call into FC and tell them that there information is wrong. Really get the impression that they don't know there ** from there elbow.
Really looking forward to going now and thanks for the tips about the drinks.

 Haffendenfamily, mozzies are there in there hundreds so some good mozzie repelant is in order.

Another thing that not many people mention is we found that we didnt no why we had taken Turkish Lira, all the Turkey ask for English money first and then seem a bit perplexed when you have Lira and it worked out you got better deals for your money, when we go next year were not bothering with anything other than English money hope this helps.

Debbie, thanks for your reviews and I'm glad you had such a brilliant holiday. 8)

We're off to the Pegasus 3 weeks today on 12th June for 2 weeks - after being cancelled from Kos ABC - really looking forward to it now.

There's me, my hubby and our two girls who are 9 and 6, is anyone else going at the same time that has children of similar age that would like to email each other, please pm me?

It looks like there's more choice in the drinks department than last year - that's good!!! Off to buy my bikini now - ha ha!!

A little confused with the money situation. Deborah, you say that the locals all ask for pounds. Do they take coins or only notes and do they offer change. Surely there must be something in it for them. Can you change money in the hotel?

Thanks Debbie, I will tell my other half and we won't bother to change our money up but take it all in English. I am getting ridiculously excited now!

Hi Causeways, yes they do have change, you just get a better deal for things especially in the markets and bars outside the Hotel, you can change money in the Hotel and same again there they charge or ask for English first and then convert to Lira if thats all you have. The exchange rate changed alot while we were there the first week our money was going a long way but the second week it was hardly worth anything in Lira. There is a dolmus bus at the bottom of the lane near security from the hotel and that takes you to Ortaca its not a very nice place although they have a good market on Tuesdays its 2.5 lira to get there and there is a cash point in a big booth in the bus station, we just got the bus straight there got our money and went straight back on the next bus you dont have to wait they cant wait to get you on their bus so they can have the fare.

Hi all

Just want to back up to Debbie that The exchange rate changes. in the hotel Exchange rate is a bit lower. Before changing your money it would be better for all of you to see exchange rate in Sarigerme as there is exactly a difference. Thats exactly right Dolmus is 2,5 Lira for per person

Debbie l dont know which market you went but Ortaca Market is on Fridays and honestly Ortaca market is a lot bigger and cheaper than Sarigerme market as Ortaca is not a touristic place

Please Feel free to ask

We go on thurssday! I wonder if anyone can confirm if men must wear long trouser in the resturant?

 My hubby mostly had three quarter trousers on a night and the restaurant never said anything, although towards the end he wore long trousers and so did I because of the mosquitos.

My Hubby usually wears the 3/4 lengths too but I think Ill get him to take some long trousers just in case. Did anyone else have any problem with 3/4 lengths in the resturants?

Hi Thecauseways,

Yes the turkish bath is in the hotel spa complex. This complex also contains a small but adequate gym, which I used for a couple of days.

The 'personal touches' was a reference to the cheeky lad who attended my wife. She is a bit shy normally and she felt his massaging technique was a bit pervy, rather than proffesional. I would make it clear to the man at the beginning about any boundarys you may have or better still insist on a women.

She did not kick up a big fuss but she will be a little bit more choosy this year.

Regards

Hi Angi

Last year the PP was English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish. The Tropical was a mix of Dutch and English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish.

Not sure what the set up is this year, but I would expect the same, perhaps without the Dutch.
