ive tried a few sites now and its all coming up not available for room only for 3-5 nights grr. think i will either have to contact direct or they will have to stay somewhere nearby

After several attempts I managed to get a free child place and paid £1320 each which I didn't think was bad as I went for the last week in May last year for about £ 1400 !!

Only 109 more sleeps !!

thats not bad. we paid about £1250 for 2 weeks including paying extra by about £60 for a sea view room. but we did book this last summer sometime and last time i looked it was around £1700 + with no sea view. so we have both done well

I didn't manage to get a sea view this year but I might contact the Hotel direct to see if I can pay them for a sea view. When I booked with Portland they gave me the choice of a low or high floor and a garden or pool view. I chose the pool view - so here's hoping.

Mind you the hotel is so lovely I don't plan on spending much time in the room. Did you manage to get a room for your Mum ?

Could the hotel help directly ?

Just realised I said each but I meant in total.

no i havent tried to contact them direct yet as i dont know in the 2 weeks we are there when she wants to come although i did put in various dates and all sites i tried showed no availability but getting her to commit to dates this yearly isnt easy lol. be interesting to compare this with letoonia and lykia where ive stayed and they were fab and ive heard aegean isnt as good, we shall see lol

Yayyyyy!!! We have booked to go again in September for another chill out week (no kids invited!!) :D

I can't believe how popular this place seems to have become considering the total lack of information and reviews when I started this topic scouting for info approx two years ago!!

Here's hoping that this holiday will be as good as the last one there, though fingers crossed that the food has improved a bit!!

I've also been to letoonia and the main thing you will notice is the smaller size of ADR. I would guess it is about five times smaller.

becky im not so bothered about the size ,(what does that sound like lol) but the quality of food is my main concern, and enough sun beds would help without getting up at silly o'clock lol

ellie-meg - I would say that the food was marginally better than letoonia. It may have actually had something to do with the smaller size of ADR - by that I mean it was more manageable being a smaller resort and the queues were smaller and the food therfore was not allowed more time to cool down.

we went to letoonia in oct out of school hols when it was quiet and no queues and food was very good , so didnt experience it busy. i dont usually go to all inc in height of season as i hate queues and too many people , so this will be an experience, good or bad im not sure which way lol. but the photos of aegean looks nice and the area looks nice and we have been recommended to try this resort so fingers crossed lol

ellie meg - one thing that I did like about ADR was that it was only 15 mins easy walk to town of Turgetries. No need to call a cab or wait for a boat if you fancied a change of scene.

Ellie, the food was fine. A bit repetetitive but nothing wrong with it
It is brought out regularly and was always hot at that point but some people left lids up etc so it cooled fairly quickly
S unbeds at the main pool can be a bit of a scramble but always plenty by the slide pool, on the beach and jetty ( I had thought they would be harder to get) Remember this was August so should be easier for you :)
I agree with Becky , ADR is central enough for a pleasant walk into town

yes that sounds good, i like to be in walking distance of the shops lol, although dont think hubby would agree, the further away i am from the shops the better for him lol. looking forward to it, is it worth paying extra for the jacuzzi suite ?

hi

does anyone know of any small hotels or sc that are within walking distance of the aegean dream thanks

Can't help with names Karen but if you turn leftbeach ther are half a dozen or so small hotels within 5 mins walk of the ADR (looked very nice)
If you turn right and head towards Turgutreis there are plenty after around 10 min walk

was hoping to possibly book 1 for a few nights for my mother, its usually cheaper to book this end than pay when you find one ive found out lol, but without knowing the names of any hotels near aegean dream it makes it difficult lol, ive found quite a few on travel republic etc but no idea where they would be in relation to the ADR and got some very good prices

If you tell me the names they may ring a bell (equally likely not to mind!)

Hi Lally

My daughter & her boyfriend are at the ADR till Friday coming, they've had two weeks.

They said the food is ok, but they are not overly keen on it.

I don't think the food at the ADR is as good as the Olu Deniz Resort hotel.
But they do have more food venues & hours of availability.
