Good afternoon to you all, i hope someone is going to be able to answer my question, fill totaly stupid trying to fill in this visa, i am on question 9 my husband has an southern irish passport and i have a british he has lived in london for 40 odd years, do i tick yes or no 
Do i fill in 10, 11, 12, 13, as well for both of us?. sorry to go on but i have tried to phone the Indian high commission but they have not got an option to speak to someone. (tried both numbers) First time to goa, really looking forward to it.Many thanks Maureen

What is question 9 etc - the form I used this year (4 weeks ago) did not have any question number on it. Can you be more specific about your query.

Hi question 9 says Are you a pemanent / long term resident in this country, yes or no, If yes please furnish photocopy of such documents, green card or long term visa status. 10 is nationalty at birth 12, address 13, phone number, then over the page it ask for pemanent address. I am asking because my husband does not get the same entitlements as me when we get visa for some of the countries we have traveled. many thanks
I just checked the visa form that I downloaded from the HCI London website and the questions are not numbered. The questions are similar to the application form for people who live in the USA. Where did you get your application form from?

Got the right one now. Not numbered. daughter found it. daughter printed first ones as well, no wonder i could not make heads from tales, i thought i was going senile

After reading about all the long queues at the surgerys etc. we have now decided to use an agent. We were going to go to the one in Huddersfield on 17 November but will now post off after we have been on holiday at Christmas. I don't fancy queuing for hours in the what will probably be horrible weather in November. Everyone seems to be finding the agents okay so will give it a go.
Sent our visas off this morning all I can do now is prey we get them back soon I will let you all know how long it takes ....after the post strike ......colleen

Has anyone used Benmar Passport Services to obtain their visas?, and if so what was the service like?
Our visa applications have gone in the post today too. Just hope the postal workers don't strike too much and we get them back quickly. Can't stand the pressure!!!!!
Just filling in visa application forms for Birmingham. Does anyone know what the consulate consider to be a minor when it comes to signing the declaration ? My 2 are under 10 so I know I need to sign for them but my sister's daughter is 14 and we can't find anywhere whether my sister should sign for her. Form just states that parents should sign for a minor. I know that I'd consider anyone under 16 to be a minor but not sure in this case. Anyone help

visa application which was mailed on 27thsept wanted to have
some conformation as to when we could expect them.,
We should get them back by the weekend,the agent is going to
Birmingham every day,and each day the rules are changed by
the Embassy,so who knows what is going on? lets hope they will
arrive soon ,let you all know when they do.

That's made me worry a bit more now. Just sent ours off to Yourtravelshop this afternoon. They did say it would be a 10 day turnaround, but I guess it could be a bit longer with the postal strikes.
Think we're gonna be using Puja Travel and send of for our visas asap. Not sure when we'll be booking though, so what do you suggest we put for 'arrival in india' - could be this year..could be after christmas - and Name/address of 2 referees? Normally just do one referee being the hotel name.

Sim, she can sign her own form. My daughter was 12 when she went and she signed her own form with no problems getting the visa, Tony
Sleep if it was sent special delivery it would be delivered next day.
