thanks for that, but is that the big puffed bread that was served with garlic butter looked like a big puffed up nan?
it seems that it is flat and you have to puncure it if bubbles appear?

Don't know if I'm getting the bread mixed up but if it's the one that is full of air and goes hard within a few minutes - not impressed really Much prefer the bread from the bakery next to the Tansas in Icmeler - straight out of the oven Mmmmmmm -

                Hi Toffeeman,
Maybe you were unlucky and chose one of the very few places where the bread is not very nice. Chefs do vary.................
However, Turkish bread (and there's many different types) is usually delicious. I wish you could buy fresh bread like that in the UK but it's near impossible. Bakers hardly exist in the UK - it's all supermarket- bland -white- doughy stuff. I heard they even do a crustless loaf in the UK now...I think the crust is the best part!
Did you try the white bread in Turkey that looks similar to an English uncut loaf? That's always very good.

if you want to get the bread sliced in the bakers they will all do it for you...just ask for it ...dilimli..a dilim is a slice.
if lavash goes hard too soon its because theyve rolled it too thin.
