Hi Pippy, like Victor said the security is very tight at the Conrad, there was always an armed tourism policeman at the front door and even at either end of the conrads stretch of beach there are security guards 24/7.
Take care and enjoy x
I hope you and all the other H T members going out to the Conrad this Thursday ''under the circumstances'' have a most pleasant and peaceful holiday.
Just be careful, be safe and take no risks as im sure you all wont
Kind regards and have a safe

hi emailed manager. he said the building work taking place is for new rooms with jacuzzis in them which are availble as of apr 2006 in which i have booked this hotel for for june 2006 and cnt wait, shame its a long wait.
Thanks Gordon
glad you are having a good time. Isn't the snorkelling amazing. Try around 7 am or 6 pm we found that was the best time.
pippy glad you are going. it is like the others have said the security gates are a long way away from the main entrance and the security on the door make a point of recognising everyone at the hotel.
have been on to first choice and changed from the coral sea o the conrad for next year.
if anyone is planning on going scuba diving, sinai divers based at the hotel are very good and helpful. say hi to everyone at the dive hut from angela, scott and Allan.

Is anyone else travelling at this time with teenage kids???
im sure your doing the right thing we also have decided to go but we dont go till 25/8 to csr but dont worry im sure i read a few people going ahead on the same date as you
we have also received a letter about the building work at the hotel, if anyone has just come back from the Conrad how bad is it?
Good on you for deciding to go - It has been a heart searching choice for us all. The reports on the building works at the Conrad are pretty low key.. yes, there is works going on but generally from the reports received they do not have a disruptive effect....
Hope you are getting back into the Holiday Mode as difficult as it is under the current situation...

p.s before you get told off, you should only use the 'normal' print font !!
Glad to hear that the building works are not too bad. I have just been to pick the tickets up, so there's no going back The way the weather is here, I can't wait to get away. I am sure we have made the right choice
was at the conrad the past couple of weeks. the building works are towards the back of the hotel and to the side. we hardly heard a thing and there were not any clouds of dust flying around. they should not interfere with your holiday
Marlabear the weather forecast is hot hot hot !! Aparently if it rains out there the Egyptians can't cope and they get flooded if it rains for a few hours. ah bless them !!
hi we are going to the conrad next weekand have been looking on hotel's website at pools etc, noticed that pool bar is swim up, is this part of the all inclusive facility or do we have to get out and walk.
The swim up bar is part of the all inclusive as is the beach bar. It's bringing back many a good memory especially when it got too hot !!
Enjoy yourselves
