Just read the review sounds as if things are getting better now there used to the all inclusive. Brought back good memories of how friendly the staff are especially Basem in lobby bar and Ali in health centre. Hope you all have a great time. :D

Good question! Still on that theme, is there anywhere on the balcony to hang a clothes line? We've got one which stretches.

Anyone had late check out yet at the Conrad.
Our Newcastle flight does not go until 21.20 it seems, so it will be a long afternoon without access to our own room. Is it worth pre booking at this end or waiting till we get there, any idea of cost, please?

Hi there, you get hangers in the rooms (about 15) not sure about a place for your washing though Pippy, because all the balconies are terraces that anyone can get too.... unless you hang them over the balcony leading to the pool lol  ? The rooms big enough to put some drying up somewhere or if you feel like splashing out get your clothes cleaned by the hotel. One of our mates got all his pants shirts/tshirts done the day before we came home and it only cost him £12 for the lot! He said they were the cleanest he'd ever seen them! and they were put in individual wrappers ironed !

:D We paid to keep the room it cost us £18 pound but could only keep it till 3pm. The AI still stops at 12 even if you keep the room late. We could only book this the day before we were going home at reception hope this helps :D

:D Hi Pippy,
We took a washing line and managed to put it across the wooden chairs on the balcony so we could get clothes dry when not sat out there. There was also a line in the bathroom which went over the bath. Have a fantastic time. :D

Thanks for all the replies about the washing :D

I'd have to take at least two changes of clothing per day, for 14 days, I think that might put me slightly overweight in the baggage department!

Laundry service sounds good, would I just ask at reception if I wanted to use it?

:D There's a laundry bag in your room with a price list they collect the bag from your room. :D

I might get a slap on the wrist for this (sorry Briar  ) but I've tried asking in the relevant forum with no luck.

Please can someone tell me what the meals will consist of on both flights? I've always found FCA meals to be quite nice, any comments?

There is a washing line in the bathroom./ It does not seem like one. You pull it from one side and it fixes to the other side. It streches if you now what l mean. Yes the wait is a long one. And even if you extend your room it only untill 3. Well it was. Its a long wait and we had no air con. on. I say be prepared. Worse thing is that when your bags are packed you just want to get on and get home.

Hi Victor

Can i ask was there a courtesy room available for changing on the last day??

There is no courtesy room, we booked a late check out (£20) til 3 but some people we spoke to said they had private showers and lockers in the gym which were good - this could be an option if you don't want to pay for late check out. I wouldn't recommend the showers by the beach.

We were also a tad sneaky in that as we knew our room would be one of the last to be cleaned one of us checked out, we left the cases outside but one of us stayed in the room. We then all stayed undetected with TV in our air conditioned room in between catching some last minute sun on the balcony and went to reception about 15 minutes before our coach arrived at 1730!!!!

One thing to remember, not sure if they are still doing this but when we went in May FCA were really hot on baggage allowance on the flight from Gatwick - even weighing hand luggage. We were charged £7 for each kilo we were over. They was no problem on the return flight.

We all took far too many clothes, you really just need swimwear and shorts, vest top for the day. There was no problem wearing this in the restaurant at lunch.

Would definately recommend the laundry service but be careful with somethings as I did have one top which they shrunk! Luckily it was only a cheap kaftan that they probably tumble dried so my fault for not checking the label. The service was quite cheap, fast and came back nicely pressed and wrapped.
