We went in August last year and yes its hot, but there is a pleasant breeze that just cools things slightly. My 7 year old twin girls were absolutley fine with the heat, as long as you slap on the high factor sun lotion of course ! They did not burn & they did not get ill at all, however, myself & the Mrs did have a few days where we needed regular visits to the loo !
The kids spent virtually all day in the pool, only coming out for drinks & food, to be honest I think adults suffer from the heat more than the kids do !
happy hammer we dont want another season like last one do we,get rid of the bad rubbish i say :-)

Duncan,
There were no problems getting sunbeds on the beach, but you had to be up by 7.30ish to get any round the pools with shades. There was one morning when we could'nt get a shade and the heat was unbearable, so we ended up on the beach under a shade.
If you do decide to go to csr, you won't be disapointed. Roll on August, when we go back again!

7.30 to get a bed witha shade I suppose I should be grateful I have a 3 year old that likes to get up early.
We went to Egypt August last year we were really worried about the heat for the kids aged 7 and 11 but it was the first holiday the kids havent burned and the hotels indoors are totally air conditioned they wore factor 50 and had uv tops and hats on from dinnertime onwards we are booked to go to the HV Sharm August 2008 cant wait
Thanks ali and wilson. 7 days to go, cant wait!!
can you walk into the sea, from the beach,at the csr?or do you have to walk down the jetty?.Thanks.Going out on thursday24th,only 3 days now,and staying for 2 weeks so if anyone see me shouting "charlie dont do that" to my 5 year old son come and say hello!
you can walk into see straight from the beach, you can walk out a long way before it gets deep. you will love it there im sure, i cant wait till august when we return for our second visit, have fun i know you will.tempreture is already close in 100f
Getting up at 7 for a bed at pool just spoilt our hol to be honest. We could get a bed at anytime at the beach though... just tipped the towel boy and he could get us a bed anywere.
What time of year was that Ellie?
That was July. Tipped them 2LE per day, which is nothing I know but its a lot to them.
Elle, was that for a bed by the pool ??
We could NEVER get a bed by the pool until late afternoon, which was really annoying. What we found was that people were reserving beds with their own beach towels at the pool, then going to the beach and coming back late afternoon. If only these towels had been removed by staff there would have been enough beds for everyone. But I suppose this can happen anywhere, not just the CSR. For some reason though you could get a bed on the beach, at anytime... you just wander down and a lad will appear with a smile, and shall ask you how many beds you would like, and they seem to conjure them up from somewhere. They also supply your towels there too, a card system. We were there when it first opened, perhaps they have got more beds at the pool side now. I have got to say though that I did like the tranquility of the beach, although its just over a path from the hotel pool, but it was a bit quieter, then wandering over to the pool late afternoon and enjoyed the odd cocktail!!!!!
Like I have said in the passed we were there last Aug and had no problem getting a sun bed around the pool,At 10am the pool lad`s removed all towels and belongings from any unoccupied bed`s we found it fair. And also they do try to find you them any time of the day.I`m sure you will be ok and enjoy your holidaysyou lucky people who are going soon.
But it seems that most people have said that by 10am vacant sunbeds with towels will be removed so I am happy with this.
Glad to hear that they are removing towels at 10 if vacant... that will knock things on a head for people reserving both beach and pool.
we are going in the morning and if the only thing we have got to "worry" about is a sunbed then we will be happy .Some people can complain about anything.
What exactly does that mean jessdale??
