I'm seeing this line dancing in a new light - did you see Strictly Dance Fever yesterday? ?

Thanks for the reminder.........I nearly forgot to tell you all about the "Parallel Universe Cruise" :lol:

It`s difficult to explain fully, but it sort of takes you everywhere..........but you don`t go anywhere. Sort of everywhen, really. :shock:

The only drawback is the danger of mutant wheelybins for which there is unfortunately no tablet or injection available.

There will also be an "Aternative Reality Cruise", although it seems that some of you are already on board! :rofl

over the easter holidays my bed leg fell off
some visitors arrived - nice - except they sat on my two year old settee and two springs went twang !!
and now tonight my central heating boiler has sprung a leak !!!

does this bring anybody back to the real world ??

of course it is the fault of all the ht people on here who are offering cruises and not doing anything about it
if i had been booked over easter in a nice garden cruise
or a taxi cruise i would not have lost a leg bust a spring or sprung a leak

Oh Dear, I have just heard of a new earthquake on the news! Most of the damage appears to have been around Banda Acheh (Thailand I believe!) and no mention was made of Sri Lanka. Thailand have cancelled a Tsunami alert so it is to he hoped there isn't another tidal wave!
I don't know if Phil will have arrived in Sri Lanka yet. I had an email from him at around 8.30pm last night and he was still in Heathrow at that time.
He was complaining that he couldn't get HT, accusing everyone of mischief as soon as his back was turned!
I believe he will have some computer access on this trip so lets hope he contacts us as soon as possible, circumstances allowing, but who knows what he will find when he gets there. My thoughts are certainly with him and his girls right now.

Gosh Magsy, I had heard about the Tsunami, but had totally not given any thought to Phil's holiday. Like you I also hope he is ok and know that his family will be awaiting news from him.
Our thoughts also go out to the islanders and tourists involved in this latest earthquake.

Hi Dizzy, Phil is actually out in Sri Lanka doing relief work after the Tsunami! He is going to have a weeks holiday in the Maldives when his tour is finished. That's where he was in February too. I believe he is working on water pumps.

Yes he is! There are still thousands of relief workers out there, especially in the Banda Acheh area, which appears to be worst hit with the latest quake. The news said that the few buildings left standing after the Tsunami are now gone!

When the Tsunami first hit in December it did not appear to be too much of a problem with the 1st news reports. The same seems to be happening again.

Hi Dizzy,

I think you will find that there is no significant tidal wave reported as a result of the earthquake. (Latest news was a 10cm rise maximum as not enough water was displaced to cause a problem.)

The damage all seems to be as a direct result of the quake itself with reports of 80% of buildings in the worst hit area being destroyed.

First rough estimates of deaths are between 1000 and 2000 people, but as dawn is only just breaking a more accurate account will be given later today.

Either way, that is still a whole lot of casualties in an area that has had more than it`s fair share of hell in the last few months.

hi everybody
when I heard about this new earthquake I thought of phil and his king dicks helping with the water pumps, but as magsy said he was still at the airport he may not have reached there yet. I feel so for all those poor souls in that part of the world. here in britain we may not have the sun kissed beaches like they have but we are comparatively safe from that sort of thing. vivien
ps my computor keeps disconnecting, perhaps it didn't like being woken up so early

I also thought of Phil but this morning's news suggests there will not be another Tsunami and it seems confined to Indonesia.

no I am not on aol but tesco daytime, which is from 2am till 4pm, thats why I am never on in the evening. I was never on the computor very much until I came across ht, I might even be forced to go back to anytime as I sometimes find that I have been left behind when it comes too some of the posts. vivien

I've just been listening to the news and it seems mainly Indonesia which has been affected so Phil should be OK. It does seem so terrible that all those people who have already suffered so much have again been hit by another disaster. Looking out of the window at a grey chilly morning I feel almost happy to be in England.

Hi Vivien, I'm on Tesco Daytime as well at the moment. It seemed like a good idea when I signed up but I now find that thanks to HT I'm switching on out of hours and running up an extra bill, :roll:

so I've decided to switch to Tiscali Broadband. I'm going to leave it until the beginning of May though, when I get back from Tunisia.
