I watch this forum every day but haven't posted for a while as I don't have much to say that hasn't been said before.

I am behind everyone on this though and if I didn't live in Scotland I would be in London with you at the DE. I will be with you in spirit though in your visit should you manage to get it together.

I have to agree with others on this - the question of good manners simply doesn't exist in my opinion also. To me it's obviously a money thing and it looks like if they keep quiet long enough the crying baby will stop crying. The point is though, I believe a precedent has been set by the fact that so many people have actually been on a cruise. I wonder how the legal profession would project the precedent? Any legal people among us?

What do Holiday Truths lawyers have to say on this subject? Is it worth us all sueing the Daily Express?

It's just a thought, but in view of the DE's campaign for integrity etc. has anyone thought of writing to the letters pages on Ceefax and Teletext commenting on the newspaper's hypocracy? It seems that once someone starts a topic on there many others take it up so when one letter is printed there is always a spate of others.

Another thought - why not try Richard Hammond's 5 o'clock show on ITV- yesterday featured a couple who had trouble with their honeymoon travel arrangements- so may be worth a try. Good luck!

Just done a posting on the Daily Mail webchat site, as it seems Jimmy Saville ( of T.T.D.C. Sunday night '208' 8 O'clock have never been the same since he gave up). Anyway to get back on Topic (it is hard y'know to keep on track, My mind keeps wandering 'How Much will it be this year')

Anyway it seems JS is in the Big Brother House, never watch the and it is a topic on the webchat so I asked if anyone thought he could still fix things - if so could he fix it for the 40,000 readers of the Daily Express who were promised a £10 cruise for each reader for which most are still waiting ? A woman was on Three Counties Radio this morning saying that she has written to the DE twice in the last couple of months and (you've guessed it) hasn't received any sort of reply. In her second letter she asked for a simple acknowledgement that they have at least received the letter, but with no response from the newspaper. How ignorant and bad mannered is that?

The radio station have promised to try and contact the Express and see if they can get some information .

I'm still waiting for a reply from the DT so I guess I've had that. I'm trying to find a minute to phone the lawyer suggested on site. I am also considering writing to the Press Council. Surely this business is giving the whole 'Press' a bad name
How about an avalanche of letters to someone who has clout?

The points went when Van left, the stars, post counts have stopped to help simplify things.(When various threads/topics got deleted, it caused stars and posts to disappear too!)
As Van has taken a back seat, HT notifications now come from 'holidaytruthadmin @ googlemail.com '
Check your junk/spam email filters. Since it changed, a few have posted, that they are no longer getting notifications

Good Morning Campers from the Balcony

Well those of the steps of the DE.

If anyone has clicked on the shortened link, that our Very Lovely Luci shortened for me, they will not find a clip from me under the Jimmy Savile story - as it seems there is a maifa link between the Porn King and Adolf Northcliff and they never speak or print bad of the evil.

The good news is that both the Express and it;s sister the Mail are sinking - according to the numbers sold (it seems) the Express is just over 800,000 (from 1.5 million) when P.K. bought it and the Mail is aslo sinking down to 900,000. There seems to some justice in the World, the mail are in such dire straits (not the group) that they are sacking the local juornies here in Bristol and rummor has it that the Evening Post is up for sale.

My reading of the T&C is that the Express have no liability for the offer, now as they seem to have taken it on - does tha tmean that the T&C have changed, altered or just thrown away (back on topic)

As Peter has said, notifications now come from a new address and may be going into your spam/junk folder. You will probably have to allow the new address.

Three Counties Radio had an update this morning. When they phoned the DE and asked to speak to someone about the offer they were immediately switched through to the infamous recorded message. By the sound of it ,the contents of this recording hasn't changed and is still saying the same thing.

The radio station then phoned the DE again and asked to speak to a human being to answer some questions. This request was refused and all the person on the switchboard would say that the they are taking note of all letters that are received and that the matter is in the hands of the directors. The newspaper also said that the people at the Express who are dealing with this are under "extreme pressure" (whatever that means) to resolve the matter. So nothing new to report really, but the radio station said that they will still be monitoring this to try and get things moved along.

Well done! We have someone fighting in our corner. I'll phone Radio Kent tomorrow and see if we can get them as well.

My spam doesn't get blocked - so that's not the problem. And I did get a notification today (my point was that they rarely come, but I don't know why. There must be another reason).

I know what happened to HT Points - I was only mentioning that I miss them!

I have an image of you as a God-like creature peering down on we mortals!

Since the DE took over the promotion, they have changed the T&Cs - so they alone are responsible.

I'm sure that, eventually, everyone who perseveres will get their cruises.
I can only imagine that the DE is refusing to respond because they are in such a mess and don't know what to say.

But some people are gradually getting their cruises (even if not HT members). So there is some action.
