It felt like we'd been fighting for ever when we many of us got our cruises two years ago so I can't imagine how frustrated you must have been.
Still, you've come to the right place - I made some great friends through this site and got the support to carry on pushing for what we were promised. Thanks to Luci for looking after us all for so long.
As Craig says, it's worth it but could cost you a fortune in the long run because you keep wanting to go back for more!

Well, I couldn't log in for ages then I didn't know what to say to people still struggling against the Express empire!
Since I last checked in I've been to Norway on Celebrity Century. Everything about it was wonderful, though it didn't match the fun we HT troublemakers had together on the good ship Melody!

Hi there everybody. Well that's me back from an excellent week on the Island Star. Well worth everyone fighting for. I intend to post a review but I've been up to my eyes in it since I returned so bear with me and I'll get it done.

Ah, the great Libya non-cruise we didn't go on in 2004!
Remember when we were worrying about our jabs and our visas? Some people bought travel insurance thinking their Libya trip was confirmed because they'd been sent details in a letter - did anyone get jabs too? I suppose they'll have run out over three and a half years ...

2004! So it must have been 2003 that the coupons were clipped and sent off. All credit to those still waiting and fighting.
Oh I remember being at first astonished that they were sending us to Libya and then excited that i as going to a place that I would never have dreamed of. And then I and many others ordered brochures from the cruise line, looking for more information, and we discovered that they'd no bookings! Slowly it dawned on us what was happening. I fealt really sorry for those who took time off thinking that it was all confirmed.
Without this website we'd never have RISEn to the challenge of fighting for our cruises. Thanks go to Holiday Truths and Luci.

It's just a pity that a lot of people joined as posted never to be seen again so I doubt they got their cruise. The people that joined and stuck around have mostly fought and won which is something we should all be proud of.
I'm always delighted when I see someone post to say they are finally going on their cruise after all this time.

Haven't posted in quiet some time but do keep popping in to check on latest posts.
I agree with eveything Criag says, without this site we would definitely not known how to proceed once the Libya cruise failed to materalise and now we are on the brink of our cruise.
We fly out on Tuesday to join the Island Escape for a 7 day Medierranean cruise. There are two of us, friends, who were both allocated the June 2004 cruise and we have both selected the same cruise so will be enjoying the adventure together.
Thanks to everyone who have helped us along the way.

I have not posted on here for some time for obvious reasons however I am now back again with some good news. Today I have banked a reasonable sized cheque received as settlement for my claim against DE.
To all those out there who are contemplating a claim I say go for it.

This looks an interesting thread - have looked at two of the 200 + pages - can someone sum this up in one reply?????n I assume this was a voucher offer from a daily newspaper?

You are correct in assuming that this thread was for a token collect from a newspaper which offered a £10 cruise for every reader in 2004.
It resulted into another Hoover fiasco.
