Phew! Thank goodness for that LOL We are not going till xmas so hopefully it wont be overbooked at that time of the year.

Maybe you could e-mail the DP direct to confirm your booking. I always do this when i have booked a hotel only on the internet.
I recently e-mailed the Xanadu to request a rooms on the non smoking floor and to confirm my booking. They replied that they had our booking and would put us on the third floor as requested.

You could do the same with the DP and then print a copy of the e-mail and take it with you when you go. Any rep would have a hard time stating the DP did not have room for you, when you have a e-mail from them confirming your booking.

I have phoned FC again this am, got through first time !!!

Spoke to them and they are still saying that there are overbooking issues at the DP.

They reiterated the fact that we have not been moved, when pressed about the problem and for a confirmation by e-mail, he spoke to his supervisor and came back with the fact that it was the hotels responsibility
to tell them about the number of rooms available, and when they recieve that information if it turns out that they have allocated too many customers on that date they will allocate the rooms on a "earliest booking"
basis!
They then inform those people effected that they are being moved.
He then said since my booking was made August 2006 that no way was I and my family being moved and we would of heard of it by now.

Could not issue a e-mail to confirm this.

I have e-mailed the DP to confirm my booking and await a reply.

Hi Citizen.
This was happening at the Titanic when we were there in May. They seemed to be moving Dutch guests, who appeared not to mind too much (???) and upgrading the Brits. Have a fantastic time...I'm sure you will.

Do not mind being upgraded, we have booked two rooms, so if they upgrade us to suite I dare say that would free up one room for somebody else, which if that was the case I would be happy to do, if it meant that room was to go to someone that had been asked to move.

Just waiting for taxi to take us to the Radisson at Mcr airport.

Booked to go to the Delphin with Thomas Cook in June 2008..I have read all the reviews ans this hotel come highly reccommended by loads of people..

I have heard that this is getting very popular for us Brits and the whole place looks fantastic...

I have just noticed that the Delphin Palace has gone back on sale with firstchoice for next summer, which makes me feel better! They must have sorted contracts out or something.

Ive been looking at the photos of the Delphin Palace on Holiday Check it looks out of this world. My daughter likes the look of the foam party!

I wish i could go straight from 2 weeks at the Xanadu to another 2 weeks at the Delphin Palace

Wendy, that sounds like a great idea, you would be okay cos you could get all your washing done at the xanadu has the laundry is included there and be ready for the delphin!!! Bliss

Have you watched the video of the Delphin as well, yes the foam parties look good and you will have one i would think at the xanadu, they seem to be at most of the 5 star hotels. I know the Limak has one as I saw a video on a site

Having a fab time at the Xanadu, one daughter at the disco and another one bowling so i decided to log on, its all free.

Spoke to a few people who tried to get into the DP this year and were told it was fully booked. People speak very highly of it.

hi all,we ve just got back from titanic ,we too had overbooking and some of our party got moved to the royal wings for 4 days and then back to the titanic.They were given a choice to stay there but most people chose to move back to the titanic.

Want to book Delphin palace for next year but dont want the problems of overbooking again.Have to say though it always seems like its FC that are doin this,so ill be booking with a different tour operater.
