I would happily wait till last to board if someone wants my disability.
That is just disgusting. Some people should be ashamed of themselves. One of the people we are going away with next week (
) is registered disabled. Wont need any assistance as such but god help anyone who makes derogatory comments about her.I think my daughter is really well behaved on a flight. We keep her amused as much as we can - books, stickers, her DS etc. Sometimes she does get a bit restless but I think that is normal and acceptable. I wouldnt let her run riot and on the occasions she has accidently kicked the chair in front, I am quite vocal about it and always apologise to the person. If I can be polite and considerate then why cant others?
As for reclining seats. Sometimes it is unavoidable, medical reasons etc, but sometimes it is just plain ignorance. Ive always been lucky I suppose because I have never personally experienced it, but my mum had someone in front of her last week on her flight home and she said it was very uncomfortable and awkward especially as mum suffers from DVTs and needs to be able to stretch and move her legs as much as possible. The chair wasnt even put into the upright position when they ate despite being politly asked to do so. Some people are just rude.

I find this pretty successful, plus we sometimes get two window seats.
. I'm talking flights to the Balearics and Greece. I mean, come on, surely people can sit up straight for a couple of hours? If it's a medical reason, I would be fine with that but it's usually the selfish few who put themselves before anyone else.
but as you say it's impossible to eat them anyway. I managed to eat a bacon roll that somehow seems to do away with the need to put the tray down - probably why they sell them lol.
I have quite bad multi-joint osteo arthritis, but it is very variable so sometimes I can be in a lot of pain, but to an outsider looking in they would think there is nothing wrong with me, as I am not elderly and walk quickly. I have had it quite bad in my feet this year and can't really stand for long periods of time, but ironically sometimes the more I walk the better it seems, till I stop (weird stuff) then i really suffer. Its one of the things Consultants talk to you about how to deal with the fact that you are ill but others get impatient with you due to how you look. It does put me off of travelling long haul though.
