Had a nightmare of a day found out that Longwood had a few seats available for the 23rd of October, double checked my name wasnt already booked - it wasnt, tried to confirm with the TTA that I will get a refund, but they cant til they get the folder, presumably from Ezy, but they are 99percent sure I have no booking - they then need confirmation of payment, i.e., copy of cheque and statement, which I got this afternoon from my bank. I then telephoned Monarch who couldnt help me, they only get a passenger list the day before. They informed me that there were 60 seats booked through Airtours for that flight, so I tried to contact Airtours and held on for 30 minutes only to be cut off twice. After all this frustration, I spoke to Dan at Longwood who was extremely kind and helpful. So Ive really booked my holiday this time, paying again. So if I dont get a refund, it will be the most expensive week ever. I just cant deal with it anymore, and at least I know now that I am definately going.

I have now booked Longwoods through Travelcare, back to flying out on the 2nd October

£80 difference between this and what ezy were offering :x

You lot are all going to need your holidays by the time you get there. Ezy ! Talk about the wrong name for the company. :evil:

Lion....... well done , you must be relieved to have it sorted..... is the refund on its way or has it been transferred to pay Travelcare ?

Well done, 'Lion! Putting up with all that aggro. and not letting it put you off going to Nuweiba shows a great strength of character! I suspect that the Lioness was probably standing over you with a "blunt object" until you got it sorted and that gave you added incentive! :lol: :lol:

Seriously, i'm very happy for you and I just know you will both enjoy Nuweiba.

Sorry you've had such a bad day but glad you have something sorted out now. Unfortunately we need four seats on the plane so 23rd no good for us. Still looking into other ways of getting there on 21st if possible, but want to be absolutely sure that I will get my money back before I spend any more. Other half far more optimistic than me - I must be a glass half full person. If I don't see you there have a great time.

Nope, no refund yet but ezy told me that they have not booked anything and told me to speak to the tta for the refund

the TTA are just waiting for all the info (customer files)to be sent to them from sleezytrav

But Everest, the swimming pool, restaurant and the reception should all be open again by the 10th. And the power will only be completely off for just three of those days. Pity though they had to close the beach these days due to those two large sharks that are hanging around the jetty.

If you are waiting for a pic to appear then you'll be waiting a long time !

Great news, Ive just had a call from the TTA that Sleazy didnt have a booking for me, so I will get my money refunded and I have already booked my original holiday with Longwood direct, so heyho, just over three weeks to go.

I just feel sooo sorry for the poor sleazy customers that dont know their fate yet.

So Im now sorted and so is Wightlion, good luck Kathyblue

I have also had confirmation that Sleazy did not make a booking for me so will be being refunded, although apparently it takes about six weeks. There are holidays available on the Saturday but at ridiculous prices - have made a few enquiries and trying to sort something out before all the people who had no idea something was wrong get their letters from the TTA.

Keep everything crossed for me! :(

Great news for those who are "supposedly" getting a full refund of monies paid. You can bet your bottom dollar that there will be some poor souls who have lost a packet over this though! My thoughts are with them!

By "supposedly" do you think the refunds will not materialise. It is not sleazy giving the refunds but the TTA through the Atol.?

In no way did I mean to be negative. It's just that after 58 years on this earth, I tend to wait until things actually happen until I stop saying, "maybe"!

I certainly hope that Helene, Wightlion and yourself recieve a full refund for the money that you have paid in good faith. Situations like this should never arise in a modern day society. WE WISH!!!
