iv seen them on both sides of the road in calangute, selling different tpyes of fast food on there carts.
One thing I would say.. The so called Goan restaurants I have tried in Britain have been rubbish. I even had an argument with a waiter on the spelling and pronunciation of their menu
Have to agree. There is an Indian restaurant in Falkirk, Scotland which advertsies a dish, 'from the wonderful indian ocean island of Goa' I pointed out to the owner the mistake, but he just smiled and he hasn't changed the menu in 4 years since!
Favourite in Goa was xiacutti (Goan chicken curry)and butter chicken.
I think I posted a recipe' for xacutti on here somewhere
found it, Arl has added one for Butter chicken too
I took a mix but for butter chicken but it will probably end up where every other mix I've bought ends up- in the bucket because its out of date
Tandoori Crab at The River View
TJ, i'll look forward to you buying me one of those when you pay for lunch
It will be a pleasure Tony
ps-- Ive tried making butter Chicken at home but it's never as good, I think the chicken really needs to be cooked in a Tandoor oven first.
thats why I'll probably never use the mix lassigirl- it never is as good is it?
well- the butter chicken mix was actually quite good
Marinating the beef at this very moment for the Beef Chilly Masala recipe that was put on here.
I did get round to trying out chicken Xaccuti and we really enjoyed it. Trouble is that I used a combination of TJs and another recipe I found on the web- so I'll never be able to make it exactly the same again
I have just been looking at the picture of Tightjocks tandori crab, amazing. Would it be possible to start a thread showing pictures of peoples meals? I am sure lots of people have taken photos of their food, I know I have.
i dont see any problem with that- I'll let you be the one to start it
Will do if I can find out how to transfer photos onto the forum! Any advise???
imageshack to do it. Just follow its instructions
Use somewhere like
