we always stay at the cambridge hotel have stayed there 4 times now cost us £80.00 last year but i know it had just been taken over and he was planning on alot of refurbishment to the place we have always thought it ok no breakfast included though
Does anyone know if they are still handing out the resealable plastic bags for liquids in your hand luggage in the North terminal?

Why not just go and buy a pack of small resealable freezer bags from Tesco - about £1 for 20!!

Flying from Gatwick to Ibiza this Sun at 6.00am with first choice.
Planning to get there around half an hour before check in time and was hoping to grab some food before flight as we haven't booked meals for flight.
Just having a few worries as a friend flew out the week before half term with First choice to spain and she said they were queuing outside terminal as the check ins had been merged between first choice and Thomson.
They didn't even have time for a coffee as straight after check in and security the flight was boarding.
Anyone had similar experience with first choice recently.

Yes they are, well they were on 30th may when we flew from Gatwick.
As you go into security there were lots of people handing them out.

hi, i am flying from north terminal but the short stay carpark at the south teminal is much cheaper parking. has anyone used the rail link between terminals, info appreciated. thanks
It is convenient, very frequent and very quick. Transit time between the two terminals is no more than 5 minutes.

the monorail link is brilliant, depending on time of day you are flying, its may seem 5 mins but its much less [usually]

if you type airport parking into ebay , the meet and greet service I am going to use in August beats any quote I have had before.
tracy - I have often parked at another terminal because it has worked out a lot cheaper. It does not add much to your journey
We quite often park for 2 weeks in the short term multi storey in the south terminal when flying out of the north. We found it to be cheaper. From parking to getting off of the monorail takes us about 8 minutes. This may sound a long time, but if we park in the open air long term car park at the north terminal, it can take 15-20 minutes to get to the terminal as the bus seems to stop at every bus stop.

i hate waiting for transfer coaches etc i would rather be walking to the monorail etc . i assume it runs 24/7 as return landing is at 3.15am.......although i will feel like its 5.15am

How's this for a bargain. Trumbles b&b are doing a great Winter 08/09 parking deal if staying in there overnight. £1 per day! This b&b gets superb reviews on another site. We have booked for January at a total cost of £72 - that is for 2 of us b&b, parking for a week and transfers to and from the airport. This is far, far cheaper and more pleasant that the big hotel.

They should be open from about 4am, certainly 3 hours prior to your flight as that's the recommendation for LGW.

Check in will be open from around 2am for all First Choice/Thomsonfly flights.
